Cookie jar is empty.
When is the best time to bake.
Sunny. Cloudy ,raining etc.
Today is cloudy and raining.
I hear old wives tale about this.
The weather could infect your baking?

I think that's because the oven gives off heat which is cozy on a winter's day.

@JohnRoberts yes your right John.I remember one Summer day and it was quite warm and baking.
The cookies was a flop because of the humidity.

I'll be right over. I can almost smell that. lol
I like to bake when it's cold and damp, or bitterly cold.
I know what you mean though, I've heard that the weather effects your baking, but I forget anything else about it

@amadeo not for me. As i dont stay by the stove. Just put it in and walk away until it needs to be checked and taken out. So no extra hear from it.

@amadeo During the summer, we are often eating away from home at a park. I don't bake during the warmer weather.

Baking for me does not depend on weather. Instead it depends on the occasion and on my mood.

I've never heard any reasons about weather affecting baking. That's all news to me. Good luck with your cookies.

The cookies are very rich, I really bake when it provokes me, there is sun or rain, but when it comes to bread that has yeasts I prefer that the weather is warm ..

Th old wives tale about baking are correct, but it is mainly for bread or dough that require to rise slowly. If there is high humidity you will never bake a good crusty bread.
