I’ve been out in the sun relaxing with hubs and a few friends all afternoon. We all wore sunglasses (and sunscreen, of course), which got us to talking about eye color. Mine are green. My favorite color is brown with gold flecks, hazel, gray, and then blue. What color eyes do you have and love?

I feel the same. It’s a good thing, too, since most of my family has various shades of brown eyes.

I have a Canadian coworker who has blue eyes and students always say that they can ‘swim’ in his eyes. Whatever that means. Lol

@sol_cee We put in an inground pool at one of our houses up north, but not in our newer house up north. We have a pool in Florida.

I have blue eyes, as do my parents, and sister. I like blue eyes, but a nice shade of brown is appealing too. I find green the most unique.

I’m not surprised you and your family have blue eyes. They seem to run in families and are very pretty, too. Most of my family have brown eyes. No one knows where I came from.

The sun here is unforgiving without sunscreen. Your eyes must be such a beautiful color. A friend of mine had eyes that one day looked totally gray, and other days, all green, depending on what she was wearing. Almost everyone in my family has beautiful chocolate eyes. My grandmother have beautiful gray eyes.

I have green eyes, which I like, but I also like blue eyes. Both of my sons have blue eyes. My husband's eyes can't decide what colour they want to be! Green eyes are the only colour that truly changes colour - others may change shade - so mine are sometimes bright green, sometimes grey, sometimes closer to hazel or brown. My husbands eyes are usually green but often look blue or brown.

Frankie Birt, actor
@DianneN I don't have many good pictures handy but here's one of my youngest son. When he had this picture taken (professional headshots for his acting profiles taken about 2 years ago), I don't recall the exact word but it was along the lines that he had the loveliest blue eyes they'd ever seen!

way back when we were teens my sister had a danish visitor that had hazel eyes. it was unforgettable. i never fantasized about the usual blond hair and blue eyes combination, since filipinos have the same eye and hair color. i've always been interested more in gray eyes and red hair.

Hazel eyes are so interesting to me. They catch the light and can change colors. My grandmother had beautiful gray eyes, and her daughter, my aunt, was a beautiful natural redhead. My father was always impressed with her red hair.

@kobesbuddy I always wear my own sunglasses, too, so I won’t look like an idiot to others. The glare from snow is awful. I have to drive home towards the west and the sun is nasty, too. I sometimes close one eye.

@DianneN He gave me cardboard sunglasses to drive home. But, I would be too embarrassed to wear them! I wore my own sunglasses, to cut the glare. Snow makes it worse!
