Good morning and good evening to those of you on the other side of the world. I decided to take a minute to jump in and let you all know I'm still alive and well.
My back is still not quite back to normal but I have been taking it easy and just doing normal things around the house and taking care of the animals.
Today is another rainy day with 100% rain. The rain started around midnight and was just a light rain. Now it it falling with a bit more "umph." I don't have to go anywhere so that is fine. The weather is supposed to get bad mid-afternoon with heavy rain and we will be under a tornado watch.
I have managed to get notifications down to under 100 and at one time last night under 50. That didn't last long since I was back to almost 100 when I signed on this morning. I am hoping that I have gotten them down to a manageable number now.
What do you have planned for today? Anything exciting? How is March treating you so far?

Today I trimmed my Christmas Cactus and vacuumed my bedroom. It rained a little bit earlier, but it's sunny right now.

@kareng no. My mother once took one of the cuttings to get one started at my uncle's house. But I have no more room for indoor plants right now.

March came in like a lamb--our temperatures are in the high 80s!!! Though we will have a 'cold wave' coming this weekend it won't be as bad as it was last week.!

I'm glad you're starting to feel better and have taken it easy. I'm sorry you've gotten so much rain. I hope you won't have a tornado and are safe if one does touch down.
My plans - hair appointment at noon and getting new shoes. My current ones have a hole in the bottom.

@DocAndersen And we always have a cold snap in April. I'm just hoping the lows in the 30's are done..and that also goes for the 20's!

I pray you won't suffer anymore tornadoes.
March has been weird here, we've actually gotten rain more than once and that in itself is strange. I suppose we're going to get another wet year. Well, looks like climate changes are definitely happening here. I just pray that we don't suddenly start getting 4 seasons with a real winter, I doubt this mobile home is equipped for that and I know my old bones aren't ..... just in case I'm planning to gain a bit more weight so I'll have enough blubber to protect me from the cold

4 seasons of winter would definitely have me moving to that tropical isle. I have heard that the south will have an extremely wet spring. I am just hoping that for my area it doesn't get any wetter that what we had during the winter. Too much rain!!

Ohh, no, I didn't mean 4 seasons of winter @kareng I meant simply 4 seasons because here in the desert we only have 2 seasons, one is hot spring and summer which can last up to 7 months and sometime 8 in some years then a cool season, that's it.

March is off to a rough start for me so far. Nothing horrible, just my allergies are going crazy right now. It's been a long time since I've experienced a bad allergy season, and well, I guess this is the year. We're going to get dumped on today with all that rain you've been experiencing, so I'm hoping that will knock down all the pollen and wash it away, offering me at lest some temporary relief. Luckily, I'll be out in Vegas this weekend, so that should give my immune system a little break from all the pollen.

@moffittjc The pollen is super bad this year. Usually a good rain will take if off the cars, but not this year.
Sorry about the loss in the tourney.
I've never been to Vegas. I used to want to go but now would rather enjoy other choices first.

@kareng I washed my truck last Monday, and already it is covered in a thick layer of pollen again. I have a huge oak tree in my front yard, and my driveway is right under it. Same thing at work. Our parking lot is completely covered with giant live oaks. So no matter where I park, I am underneath these trees that are dropping tons of pollen right now. There's no escaping it.
Yes, we had a paintball tournament in Vegas last weekend. We lost in overtime in the finals. Very heartbreaking. We had our minds set on winning our back-to-back tournaments (we won the first tournament in February). The tournament fields were in North Las Vegas, so we stayed at an AirBnB house near the tournament fields. We were in the city proper, and didn't have time to hit the strip for any gambling. It was literally fly in, play, fly out. I've never actually been to Vegas for vacation/gambling purposes, so I have no idea how it is.

I may have to resort to that! It got better then I tweaked it again and now I'm doing better again. I tend to do too much when I feel better and that is not good. I went out shopping and running errands yesterday in Baton Rouge and made a whole day of it. I was very tired and hurting when I got home. I will be staying home today and doing very little.
