Why do I feel like saying those words because I am in absolute shock at what I just read today. Tom Hanks and his wife are in Australia. They felt ill and both got checked out. They have both been tested positive for the novel coronavirus. I am totally speechless I just don’t know why. Perhaps for some reason, I figured that celebrities would find a way to remain immune. They certainly are the same as everyone else and I sure am sorry to hear this.

As far as the story goes they'll be isolated in Australia but then again why did they travel in the first place @thelme55

@thelme55 it is best to cancel any kind of travel. We are even avoiding movie halls and malls for some time.

I saw a headline on FB, but hadn't realized they were in Australia. I am sad that they tested positive, and I hope they have a speedy recovery from this. At the same time, I am glad they were open about this and did not try to conceal it . . . I noticed some politicians were open about it as well. Yep - no one is immune!

Oh that is indeed shocking! Well anybody who has had traveled internationally in the past few months is susceptible to this virus.
I read that one of the ministers in UK too got this virus.

He and his wife travel a lot and probably have been around a whole lot of fans all over the world any of whom could easily have been infected.
Sure, it's a shame, but it's those people who do the traveling who have brought this into our country.

I didn't realize they were in Australia. They will be stuck there for a while. They are definitely as susceptible as anyone else!

I see that he was here in Australia to make a movie on the life of Elvis Presley.
Celebrities, if they stay in the limelight, might be more exposed to this virus than us ordinary people are.
