Covid-19 in Wisconsin, USA

I watched the news this morning, mostly to see what the weather would be for today and heard more cases of the virus reported in Wisconsin. Amid the cancelations by the NBA, NHL, college closings and moving studies online, comes cancellations of NCAA high school basketball tournaments. They only played one round yesterday before the rest of the games were canceled due to the virus. It looks like I'll be wearing a mask too in the near future if the coronavirus cannot be contained.
How are things where you live? Are you wearing a mask and seeing cancelations of local events?
I have a book trilogy about a virus that spread worldwide and threw life backward as people rebuilt their lives from the ground up. No cars or technology. People relied on horses or foot for transportation. It's a good series. The author's idea no longer sounds far-fetched in light of what we face today.
Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me of the first book in the series.

I'm still not afraid, because God is still on the throne. Through all the plagues, his chosen race was kept safe and secure, as long as they obeyed the Lord.

@just4him In obedience the Lord, his children were always kept safe. Daniel thrown in the lion's den? He wasn't afraid, at all. Meshack, Shadrack, and Abednego? They were thrown into the firey furnace, without an ounce of fear. They didn't even smell like smoke, when they came out!

This covid19 has become a serious danger to this world although China claim to have successfully contained it in its birthplace. Our very important cricketing event here, IPL ( Indian Premier League), lasting more than 3 months and scheduled to begin on 29th of this month has been postponed to begin on 15th of April. The league may go on if the situation improves by then.

@just4him Yes it seems that what will happen. I don't know what will happen to my siblings who are all working in the city. My brother will stay at home and just work at home my other two siblings are still unsure if their company allow them to work at home

@averygirl72 Their companies might not have a choice. I hope your siblings can get home if transportation is locked down.

@Courtlynn I wonder if the schools will incorporate the spring break or the kids will have another one.

@just4him our spring break isn't until mid April. But most schools here are closed for two weeks, with a couple for one week and others still open.

I have heard that our "lockdown" has been extended here in California--I think they said until sometime in June? Oi. I am going to be doing a lot of reading.

@just4him Well, now I just read something else that the extension is not in the county I live in, but "officials" or whoever are considering it -- and not June, just later in April.

That's long. I hope ours isn't extended, but I know we haven't peaked yet, so anything can happen.

@xstitcher I'm glad it's April and not June. Ours goes until April 24th.

Besides my church canceling, our local schools had cancel school trips. I don't think our local schools are closed yet. I'm not wearing a mask.

I have been confined to my home only because my doctors do not want me to come in contact with anyone infected with this virus. I only go out to the doctors. I am just as happy to stay in my home. I love the cover of your book. I think the series idea if fabulous, especially at this point in time.

In my state there were no cases confirmed until today - so just one here. People are going into panic mode even though there weren't any cases until now.

@just4him I agree 100%, they definitely don't! I am not panicking myself. Except that there are no eggs anywhere to be found here. Should have bought 5 dozen before this all happened!

Masks that would possibly do good are not available at the current time anywhere in the states. Schools here which started spring break at the close of school today will have at least an extra week til the first of April. All sports, and events that draw large crowds are also cancelled. Some churches have already cancelled services and the ones with the capability are going to stream sunday services for members. I am using Thieves oil as a defense rubbing it mixed with a carrier oil on my feet and hands between washing when I am out.

I was told I can find them in the paint departments of hardware stores.
That's good churches will stream the service. We're starting to stream, but not because of the virus.
That's good you have a defense with Thieves Oil.
