Summer is here but...

The weather said it is already summer. Usually we would be making plans for a weekend getaway to a swimming pool resort or to the beach. Sometimes it is the mountain resort near the volcano that erupted. But now summer is just a hot weather, no trip whatsoever. And what if the situation persists until December, no Christmas for us?

I am still hoping that the hot weather will finally put a stop to this virus and a vaccine or medicine will be available to combat this virus.

@Alexandoy Yeah I know there are several potential vaccines under study right now for testing. I know Germany is one that has promising lead and Australia. I am just not aware how they are doing right now.

@rsa101 if they are already testing the vaccines then maybe in 3 to 6 months there can be some fruits.

There is no sign of the vaccine for now. Let's just hope for the hot weather to do its thing on the virus. Who knows if it is true.

You don't need outing for Christmas. It can be best done from home and it is going to be best ever.

Oh, it is not the outing for Christmas but the celebration. How can we go to the dawn masses or sing carols when we are all under house arrest?

@Alexandoy I meant exactly the same. Do it from home. You don't have to be in church to pray God or sing carols.

@msdivkar you are right but what I mean is the tradition and not just the activity. The caroling is singing carols from house to house. That cannot be when there is curfew.

@Alexandoy It's a description. If this persists to Christmas, that means the situation is totally out of control with dire results as nothing has stopped it.

@LadyDuck they are doing that now with the holy mass. It is streaming in the internet. In fairness to the church, that is their contribution to the lockdown.

I don't think there will be a Holy Week observations with the present situation. There won't be the traditional activities like the procession and parade.

@rappeter13 it was still cold during the last week of February and the heat came in by March 1. So it is like 15 days of hot weather already. To give you an idea, I have to water the plants in the morning and also in the afternoon otherwise they will wither from the extreme hot weather.

@Alexandoy If only people cooperate to stay at home , the virus won't spread. Look the China had total lockdown for 1 month and 2 weeks as far as I knew , and people coordinate not hard headed like some Filipino . China now is slowly going back to normal
