I was impressed.

Never underestimate animal lovers. They clear the shelves at grocery stores for their pets just like they would for their family. Enter the overpriced items at Petco. I figured I knew they wouldn't have shortages, and they didn't. When I was done checking out, I went to put the cart back, but an employee stopped me. She said they had to sanitize every cart after each use. They sprayed that thing down, and scrubbed it up before putting it back, and I was impressed. They were taking the safety of pet owners seriously. You definitely don't see that everywhere (thinking of specific stores). Have you been impressed by any measures taken during this time?

That is great they are sanitizing. Our condo and stores have been doing it, too.

I am limiting my trips and staying at home. I had a pretty good supply of pet food already.

I still haven't found their kind of food. Tomorrow maybe I'll have better luck.

We ran out of sanitizer and then had a spray bottle for customers to use but someone took it home so an employee had been sanitizing carts and leaving the ones done in the open area for those walking in. We also go around the whole store and sanitize each msr reader ( where you put your card into), and the areas near that. We do handles into the bathroom and other common areas. We're also sanitizing the small baskets used and removed the extras from around the store since those can't be monitored as easily. Out pet supply items are also being sold almost as fast as grocery items. Some people thought we might have to close and were stocking up, but our store won't be closing nor will we change our hours unless mandated by the state.

That's impressive, and very conscientious. It's good to hear businesses take it seriously.

I wish my Petco shopping cart was like that. I saw no sign of anyone caring for carts- most carts were still in the parking lot, getting who knows what on them. I agree my Sally's food is over priced. 65 dollars for 22 pounds. And she does not like the food cause she is more interested in playing Catch that toy!! But she appears to have less health issues with the food so I pay the price.

You're a good fit baby mom. We do what we have to for them, even if it costs an arm and a leg!

@AmbiePam Thanks. I wondered what I would do if that particular food was bought out. Try the turkey instead of the buffalo? I bought a knock off of the food at the feed store and coincidence? Sally did not do as well.

Not really, because when I go to the stores they usually are out of cart sanitizers, but I did notice it was inside at Walmart instead of outside...

Yesterday my wife spent an hour in line to the pharmacy to buy medicine for our sick dog. Pet lovers would go a long way for their pets.
