So now everyone around me is talking about self-isolation and quarantine curfews I think the world has actually started to lose its mind, I totally understand people of a certain age or people with certain health issues but for those of us that are young and unlikely to get it why is the world stopping I've heard of people working from home and now all shops are running out of stock and limiting people for items this is like something you would see in 28 days later and expect to see zombies in the supermarket, I'm not stupid nor am I blind I get it's bad but really let's all calm down a bit sorry had to rant about this!!

Isolating people is the only means to prevent the spread of the contamination. Those young like you, as you said, may not succumb to the virus but you can get contaminated. And if you become a carrier then you can infect other people.

@lgm92881719 that is the worst that can happen in a time of crisis. Now the medical personnel have no face mask because the general public was hoarding. Since the start of this corona virus issue, face mask was not available anymore in our place. Until now I have yet to buy a face mask.

Yes I do agree but being in isolation for up to 12 weeks in some cases is not helping anyone, people have to live life and pay bills and have families to support you can't expect the world to just stop

@Alexandoy it doesn't help when people are over buying and not leaving stuff for people who also need things

Just because we are young and healthy, and won't die from it, doesn't mean we're unkikely to get it. We young and healthy are still carriers. Who can infect and potentially kill, those ill and old. thats why we have to be careful and stay indoors as much as possible.

I'm staying indoors with my kids so they don't catch it and I have to be healthy to look after them as well I understand what your saying though they do need to come up with a better long term plan as people have to provide for their families and can't be expected not to work

There's a good chance you will get it, but survive because of your age, as long as you don't have any other health issues. It feels like the whole world is starring in a real life Hollywood Disaster movie. Scary times indeed.

Thanks for that haha I am doing the isolation thing but mainly so my kids don't come into contact with people and also my self in a way as my kids would be lost without me so I have to stay well for them and it is definitely like a movie I just hope something gets sorted soon

People are going bonkers. They are buying way too much stuff for no reason. There is probably no room in the freezer or fridge or pantry. Grocery stores/supermarkets are still open. Can get stuff when you run out. But perhaps that is not true for other parts of the world. It would be crazy if we are not allowed to leave the house at all.

I know it's crazy that's why the supermarkets have started limiting people and yes they are still open and working alot to keep the shelves stocked for everyone, hope you are well :-)

@lgm92881719 In NYC, we have some supermarkets that open earlier to allow elderly to shop. During that time only elderly are allowed.

The virus turned me into a zombie. I am heading toward your house. I will read more of your posts, so I can know what kinds of thoughts I am eating.
