some plants thrive indoors

we have a planter in the dining room that fits 4 to 5 pots.
i replace the plants every 3 to 4 weeks.
the snake plants seems to thrive the best indoors. (it looks like the picture on the left)
it seems to prefer the humidity and lack of sunlight.
i took out the money plant (it looks like the picture on the right) when i noticed a few brown leaves then forgot all about them.
now i noticed the brown leaves have multiplied. i guess too much actually started killing it, even if it's being watered.
do you have these plants, too?

@hereandthere I love those plants, the gardenia stays outdoor during the nice season. As it grew pretty big, I now move it to the balcony instead of the garden.

we've always had plants since we're on a corner lot, but mostly ornamental. we did have several trees before when we were kids.

@hereandthere ornamental or edible, it's good to have plants at home. My ornamental are my potted strawberries that I place in the living room when we have house guests.

Yes! The snake plants do last and do not need much sunlight (we previously had 2 in the dining area above our pantry units). I still have 2 tall ones outside that I need to replant. I am not sure about the money plant - I have "something" like it but I don't know what it's called. We keep that one in the bathroom - apparently it can live long enough without much care - I think it doesn't need much water.

@hereandthere Ah, then maybe what I have is different. I love those green leaves in your photo - the perfect green and they look like hearts!

there's 4 of the money plant. it seems that one that's in water does better.

@hereandthere It's indoor. Water it once a week or when the medium is totally dry.

we were given several pots of a plant that looks like this. i'm not sure if it's supposed to be indoors or outdoors, or how much water it needs. do you know?

we notice they have more new leaves when they're indoors. per wikipedia, they release oxygen at night so maybe they're good for rooms or areas that don't have windows or poor ventilation?

@hereandthere Yeah, I read that too. But I wonder why my snake plant remains green unlike yours that has yellow linings.

Your plants look lovely, it is supposed to be good for us to have indoor plants because they are supposed to be able to purify the air indoors.

i searched for pictures online that looks like the ones we have then used an online collage maker.
i'm used to seeing plants around the house (we even had trees before) because we have the space for it.

Snake plants do thrive well in indoor settings, or in shady areas. I have a few indoor plants (don't know what kind they are) that are thriving. But to ensure they get plenty of sunlight, I will rotate them from inside my house to my outside screen porch. That way, they can get adequate sunlight every now and then. All my plants seem to be thriving, so I must be doing something right!
