He’s Starting Up Again

Drat! I thought I had my husband under control, but nope! He saw this darn boat go by and started yapping about how he really wants a boat again. My throat is raw again from explaining why it will never happen. I decided to type up a list for ALL the reasons why we shouldn’t get a boat. I’m printing extra copies out this very minute. He has too much time on his hands these days. Big sigh!

Tell him to just go rent a boat when he wants to go out, fast easy and no extra costs.

He has to postpone all things that he wanted outdoors until this threat is over. Better to be safe than sorry.

I still think you should let him get a boat. I really think you would enjoy it, however, paying to store it for six months could get expensive..where could you cut the budget?

Money isn’t the issue. He’s the issue. There is no way he could have a boat without killing us all. If you met him, you’d understand.

Let him rent one and you do not have the extra cost of keeping a boat. My friend says the boat insurance alone is expensive and the cost of keeping it up and towing it to the water and storing it. Repairs when something goes wrong. You have to get a license to drive the boat to and take a safety class here.

Exactly, Judy. All those points are on my list. I even printed extra copies and popped some into my suitcase.

If you’re a worthy sea captain and know what you are doing on a boat, you can have the boat. I can just picture hubs capsizing any boat in 12 seconds or less.

@rebelann I’m not worried about him. He’s a very good boy. I’m just sick of his boat talk and sick of verbally responding. Now he has a list to review at his leisure. lol

You know you will win the argument. I think sometimes men like to see how rattled they can get their wives over their ridiculous notions. I'm sure he'll see the sense in your argument when you present him with all the facts.
