If it is possible for Porwest to do a more traditional, normal dinner, that is what I am doing tonight. It's an old dish I have not made in a while, but one that I have made many times in the past.
I have no idea whatchamightcallit. I just call it pepper steak. But it's not REALLY pepper steak.
I took some round steak and cut it into strips. Then I chopped up some onion, celery, and green bell peppers.
To the meat mixture I added some salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. I cooked the meat for a bit. Then I added in the onions and the celery. Cooked that for a bit. Then I added in the green bell peppers. Cooked that for a bit.
Added some minced garlic.
Tossed in 1 cup of wine, and 1/4 cup of Worcestershire and a 1/4 cup of soy sauce.
Added some oregano and some Italian seasoning.
Now I am simmering it for about an hour. The meat should be very tender and the mixture should be flavorful.
We will eat this on a hot bed of white rice.
What is going on your dinner table tonight?

@porwest I do it at least once a month. We eat A LOT of pizza, but I don't always have the time, patience or energy to do homemade.

@thislittlepennyearns It's a wee bit easier these days with the pre made crusts you can buy. But it's still a lot easier to pick up the phone and call for delivery.

@LindaOHio No, I don't think she has. Or she HAS seen it and decided she didn't feel like puking, so just skipped it.

Your dinner sounds really yummy. But your photo doesn't do it justice. Maybe it's just my laptop.
