Have you been out and about enough to notice the gasoline prices? I filled up at $1.48 a gallon earlier this week.
It has been running $1.89 to $1.99 here and up. This is not at just one or two stations but just about everywhere. I think the stock market plummet and the supply and demand of the product with everyone quarantined are having a big effect on gasoline.
What are the gasoline prices in your area?

I'm not sure how much gas is, but it is definitely low. I haven't gotten gas in over 2 weeks!

@kareng Yes, our tank is about 3/4 fill during this time good to have our cars with gas just encase of an emergency.

@kareng that’s surprising that a gas station would close.

@Tampa_girl7 The pumps are back on. They may have just ran out of gas with all the panic. The store is however, closed.

I heard that the prices will lower because of the reduced demand.

@Writingghost Yes, we are. But it is nice to not be paying almost $3 a gallon. It may be up before I have to fill up again but I still got a deal with the one I got! Win!.

The lowest I've seen here in Gainesville is $1.97. Most are still around $2.10-$2.15. Gainesville is infamously known for having the highest gas prices in Florida, thanks to all the university students who drive up demand and don't care about cost because they're using mommy and daddy's credit card to pay for it.

@kareng It's all because of the college students. I blame them for everything.

The price per barrel is way down due to the supply and demand. People just aren't traveling because of the lockdowns. Gas prices have been under $2 for quite a while now.

yes, but here is much lower than before. Yet, it is still higher than other countries, here it is about 2.5 USD for a gallon
