Bored again - cheese scones this time

My resilience must be slipping. I got bored the other day and made a banana cake. As most of you know, I really don’t like cooking. Today, I made cheese scones. We don’t seem to have much in the way of snacks in the house, not that we snack much anyway. Maybe I was just putting off the cleaning. Anyway, today it was cheese scones and very nice they were too. They’re best fresh but they’ll still be nice tomorrow. Maybe then I’ll try a carrot cake. I have Splenda which is a sugar substitute as Vince has Type 2 diabetes. I’ll leave the carrot cake till next week. Three cooking days in a week would be much too much. I’d probably break out in hives.

Those look delicious, tomorrow I am going to make another cheesecake, today the social worker bought for me the necessary ingredients. It is important to have a dessert, we need to feel comforted.

@JudyEv I will wait until the lockdown is lifted--I think it might be the igniter --so I may try to fix it myself if I get really frustrated--

I have been eating scones the wrong way. Lol. Even if savoury one, I still put grapes jam or maple syrup on it.

We don't have them with sauce. These are savoury scones so you'd put butter and cheese on them perhaps. Sweet scones you could put jam and cream on them.

Stop right there. Don't bake another thing. There is no way you can top a cheese scone. Unless it's with more cheese of course.

cheese scone baking is a good idea! I can't eat too much of normal scones but guess I could keep the cheese scones for a few days (for snack). I have been eating popcorns out of boredom. I eat peanuts too. Can't think of what else to eat (beside dinner).

The scones are okay for two days and you could always freeze some. I make cheese straws too and they are good as a snack.
