April 5 - What I'm Thankful for Today

It's another good day. The sun is shining, the grass is turning green, soon the flowers will bloom and the trees will bud out. Oh, and the weather was super nice. This is definitely a God-made day.
So, let me tell you why I'm thankful.
I'm thankful for the church service via live feed on Facebook this morning. I look forward to the day when we can all meet in person.
I'm thankful for the time I spent here this morning. You all are amazing.
I'm thankful for the nap I had. I think it was for an hour.
I'm thankful for the walk I had when I got up. I needed to talk myself into it, and I'm glad I did. I took my camera and captured that image at the turn of the first corner on my walk. I wasn't as fast as yesterday, but I still got the block in about half an hour.
I'm thankful for limitations. I know what I can and can't do as I build up my exercise program. I know 10K steps are a little more than I can handle right now. Just like when I first started and 7K was too much. I need to work up to 10K and I will.
I'm thankful for the food in my fridge. I also realized I can't do a fruit and veggie diet only. It doesn't work for me. I know I have a large appetite. I always did. I've learned how to eat smart in the last three years with my appetite. The proof is the 53 pounds I've lost.
I'm thankful for who I am. God made me the person I am with gifts and talents in many areas, not only writing. I can cook, bake, and sew. Recently I found I can paint rocks, an artistic ability I never possessed as a kid. That all makes me artistic and creative.
I'm thankful for my children, a gift from God. Though I can't be with them during this time, they are always on my mind and in my heart.
I'm thankful for the steps I achieved today. I know the day isn't over yet. Right now, I'm at 8577 and two hours of bicep curls. I'm going to stop at two hours. All the exercise also makes me hungry.
I'm thankful that when I looked in the mirror today, I saw a beautiful woman, and I'm proud of what that woman has become.
That's my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

This has to be my favorite thankful post you've done so far. SOO much positivity for yourself!
And that paragraph on your talents makes me so happy, because one of my prewritten writing Challenge days (i think its tomorrows actually!) is about you and I had already written that stuff from memory and to see you write it out made me smile - and happy to have listened, and remembered.

@just4him Biggest thing is to figure out what works for yourself, we all have such different dietary needs, that one diet just doesnt work for the next person
