Hi everyone - long time no write!
Life has been . . . Life - busy and full of happenings.
My last post was before Christmas - shame on me for waiting so long to write a post. They say 'no news is good news, until its bad news'
I played my first Provincial Veterans Bowling Competition, but as a team did not fare so well, and in saying that, I am not sure if I want to do it again. The ladies acted like an old aged home and personally I think I am still far too young for that kind of drama. I am not going to bore you with any of my life living details except one exceptional bit of travel.
My hubby and I planned a trip to Victoria Falls (Zambia), and after my bowling tournament, the WHO (World Health Organisation) was faced with a serious pandemic of the COVID-19 virsus.
There was no problem leaving SA for another African state, but we were flying British Airways - and that is where the problems arose.
We did go - we were quarantines for 14 days on our return and we are safe and do not have the virus . . . hold thumbs

Good to hear from you again. And glad to hear your quarantine is over and everything is OK with you.
Glad you got to go to Zambia. I suspect it was worth the 14 days quarantine.
Sadly we had to cancel a trip to London to spend our birthdays with our son. Who knows when we'll be able to go again!!

So how is the breezes at Africa? You know what? An Oahu couple was on a Princess Cruise, that had people hit with covid-19. They were quarantined, the whole ship at Japan for 2 wks. Then transported to TX I believe, for testing and 2 more wks of quarantine. They came home finally and never got covid-19. Happy endings happen, so hang in there!

Keeping safe is a must anytime, and though the worst is over it seems got to wear masks. Today's news there is 26 active cases of covid19. Everyone from 648 who had it recovered! June 16,
Gov. Ige lifts interisland quarantine. But flights coming to Hawaii, still has 14 day quarantine.

@Inlemay I had two volunteers who came during the week (one on Tuesday, the other on Friday), I gave them my list and within the hour they were back with what I asked. It worked well. From 7 days we can go grocery shopping again, we have a "preferential" time from 7 to 10 am.

I hope you had fun on your travels
We recently had a bereavement in the family and my cousin who lives in SA was also quarantined for 14 days when she came in for the cremation. The important thing is your health and safety as well as that of those around you. I'm glad you tested negative, as did my cousin
