When I was just a little boy

I played in the snow all the time. Most important however is that wonderful coat I am wearing. I wore that coat until it literally fell off of me. I loved that coat. My mother actually got me one just like it a couple of years later. What I am wondering is will we see snow like this again? Where I live we had a total of 1 inch of snow, all winter. (that is my pops on the left side) I didn't realize I missed it until it was gone!

Isn't it funny how kids can become so attached to things. I can't remember the last time I saw snow like that.

Kool shot. Yeah, we tend to take things for granted until years later when we begin to reminisce

that is a good way to put it, things are oft-forgotten and then reappear!

Back in the day when I was growing up we had lots of snow. It was a favorite way to spend time sleigh riding and just playing in it. We also had maybe 2 inches of snow this past winter.

@DocAndersen it certainly was unusual not having much snow. Our shovels didn't move once from their spot in the garage

@Marilynda1225 we had 35 inches in 2016 (one storm). it killed my snowblower, so I upgraded. I've used it once since then!!!! i am the reason there is no snow!

You look like you're having fun. I was wearing a T-shirt the other day and for some reason started thinking about how long I'd had it and it was 40 years! And I'm still wearing it.

As a person who has only lived in snow for a couple of months, I am sometimes very happy that I live in Hades. I would not be able to deal with snow haha It is fun to play in, but no thanks.

@DocAndersen A dry heat as if you are opening up an oven, but instead of cookies in the oven it is just hot forever.

Cute picture. I didn't miss the snow at all this year. We had less than a foot total for the season, which is a lot less than normal.

@DocAndersen I know what you mean. Me, on the other hand -- I see the first snow of the season, I say, "Awww isn't that pretty?"; and then I'm done for that year.

Did you name your coat “Rosebud”? Be careful what you wish for, you might be locked in due to the blizzard virus next year.

What I notice about this photo is the "carousel" that you are playing on. We had exactly the same kind in my school yard.
