Today's Agenda

In order to keep up with being paid we have to do school related stuff. I have elected to take a number of Webinars. I never pass up an opportunity to learn. It also means I can do it at my own home and not go into the school building. I think today's webinar, which I have finished, will be very helpful. It is about ten Google tips and tricks to help in school and in life. I have been slow to join the Google band wagon, but this seminar provided a lot of resources for me. This afternoon we will zoom with another student. Then I will submit my time sheets. I have some corrections for last week, and then some to write in for this week as I did not know I was to clock in for the zooms. I have rearranged part of the dining room and I will complete the transition this afternoon. I am going from the big, full sized table in the middle of the room--which was needed for company, to the half size version. I am putting it near the window so we can enjoy the scenery as we eat. That will give me room to move my gravity rider inside. I will use it more that way since I do not have to worry about how I am dressed or if I will wake the neighbors. So this is why you have not seen much of me so far today.

I wouldn't really like any visitors at the moment as the lounge looks very much like an 'activity' room but that's okay. It's all about keeping ourselves happy and content in our little world.

@JudyEv My frame needs to get happier. I need a little more structure, I think.

@GardenGerty We should be doing whatever it takes to get us through this in at least a somewhat happy frame of mind.

No, these are by invitation and sign up only. The presenter today says you can find all of his instructions on You Tube.

@GardenGerty I wish I was that way because I would get more stuff done. Because of my back and feet, I can't do the things I used to and I get so frustrated.

That's great you can still get paid for doing webinars and school-related projects.

They are just small things, though. Except the webinars are an hour each but I only have one on any given days.

Most of the teachers here are very busy. Principal is on youtube. PE and music teachers posting daily. Reading specialist reading daily.

Yes, it helps them in their record keeping. The district will pay our full pay, but they need to document how much is really worked and how much is "paid time off".

There is a saying here: A man learns while he is alive.

Maybe we could also say that while a person learns they stay alive.
