Grill Season Is Officially Open

I have had this current grill, a Huntington Rebel Made in the USA for probably about 13 years or so. I have had to replace a lot of parts inside over the years. Heat diffusers. Burners. But every year I start off the grilling season cleaning her up inside. I scrape her inside and use the Shop Vac to get all the rust and other garbage out.
Then I turn the dials to the highest level and cook it off.
Well, she's cleaned up and ready to go and I was pleased when I opened her up. Replaced a bunch of parts last year and I think I have at least one more good year out of her.
Going to grill some chicken thighs tonight on it. Grilling season is officially open and ready for business.

I think I need to change my glasses. It's good that I saw the picture because what I seemed to have read with the title was "Girly season" huh.

That sounds yummy. My husband has a birthday next month and I bought him a new grill that he picked out. He grilled some steaks and shrimp that were good.

I have a huge stainless steel NexGrill that I bought about three years ago. That thing has gotten a lot of use over the past couple of years. My grilling season began about 2 months ago! I love barbecuing on the grill. I think the next thing I buy is going to be a smoker to compliment my grill.

That Huntington finally bit the dust a few years ago. My last "rebuild" would have cost as much as a new grill, so I just got a new one. It was due anyway, and the new one, which I have had for about three years or so, has been very good so far, although not made in the USA. Oh well.

We don't have grilling season.here to observe. Everyone may grill their meats, fishies or whatever anytime if he wants to.
