When do we Americans get our "stimulus checks"?

I actually got a decent (group) email from my bank today. Some of my friends have already received their $1200 checks. Others have not. Why?
According to this email, these checks will be sent out in "waves," through July. If I read the email correctly, those who received a tax refund last year will receive theirs by direct deposit. Those who had to pay will receive a check in the mail.
What was not made clear was what the thresholds are for how much of the $1200 we get. Did you get an email from your bank trying to explain all of this?

@TheHorse We do have a little extra water. Probably cause of the minerals, water that sits in jugs gets funky. There is a slime to it. I have a couple of extra pans around the house as an encouragement to the cats to drink water and those easily get a rime on them.

I forget what the upper limit was set at but until you reach that everyone gets 1200. We got ours this past week.

Well, you get direct deposit if you received your refund via direct deposit. If you didn't, like me, you'll receive a paper check (and that will take a while).

@TheHorse - they have published the mailing schedule for the paper checks. They are sending them out in the order of household income, from lowest to highest, which is very thoughtful, because the people making less money will probably need theirs sooner. It starts in May ($10K-$50K) and runs up to August. We're due to get our sometime in June ($60K-$100K).

We didn't get an email; but our Social Security checks and Stimulus checks were deposited into the bank on Wednesday.

I didnt receive the financial assistance in our country because I have regular income from my job. I hope you get your stimulus check soon.

I think we get it all. I am hoping mine will come in May. I know 3 people so far who have gotten their checks and two are on mylot.

It will help a little. That amount won't even cover a month's worth of rent for many people.

None of us in this household have gotten any yet, but I know other poeple who have... all of them are outside of California though.

Most people will get $1200 per person and $500 per child or dependent. Unless you make over $150,000 a year filing jointly, then the money starts to dwindle a bit. Not exactly certain on the scale, though. But based on what I suspect, you will definitely get $1200.
The checks will be disbursed both in direct deposit form and paper form at the rate of about 5 million checks per week. They will disburse checks first to the poorest and last to the richest.
That's as much as I know.

Hope you get yours soon. In Canada, they initially tied it all directly to Employment Insurance so I got the deposit in my account pretty quick. My boys had to make a separate application because they never actually got laid off. They just had their hours cut way back. They just got that done and are playing the waiting game now.

if you filed over the internet, and they have your banking info, it will be deposited into your account.
the full amount that you can receive will depend on how much your earnings were for the most current of your 18 or 19 tax filing.
anything other than this , is coming in the mail.i believe mailed checks are coming in this week.
oh, and on the bonus side, if youre on unemployment you will get an additional $600 a week, no taxes taken out.
