The marigolds are showing.

Some time ago, when it was still summer, I planted some of the first dry marigold seeds from some plants that Claudia had given me for Christmas.
I suppose I did not water them as I should because only 4 plants grew and now one of them even has a little bud.
Sometime later, maybe a week before my quarantine started (I don´t remember when now), I picked some more seeds from the mother plants and placed them in a container. This time I watered them every day as they are part of my chore s.
At first I saw tiny green things appear, but I didn´t know if they were weeds. Now, after over a month, I can see that many are definitely marigolds as the second leaf is showing.
Marigolds are generous plants. They need little care and, if you make a juice with the flowers, you can have a natural spray to kill aphids.
The lettuce and chard have not shown any sign of coming out
I´ll be patient.

@LadyDuck I know that you can make a spray with the blossom´s leaves and some bugs die.

I had all kinds of marigolds, at our first house. They are beautiful flowers! And they come up every year, on their own:)

@marguicha We didn't get much rain this year, either. Last summer, it was dry most of the season!

I planted a lot of seeds. If many grow, I will give some seedlings to Claudia.

@marguicha We had many of them in my childhood. It was one of the first things we saw when we entered the front yard
