DIY Water Bottle Planter

Zinnias in DIY Planter

I was creative again. As always, I have recycled things, this time from a 5-liter water container. I made 2 flower planters from one empty water bottle. Just a simple paint of acrylic color. I have repotted my nursery zinnias to the half red-painted bottle. They are growing fast since I have put them in this huge planter and placed it on the windowsill where the sun comes in. I am looking forward to the time these zinnias will blossom. I don´t know what colors they will be. I have planted Kalabo or the Philippines oregano plant on the other half painted bottle which I will give to my friend when we can see each other again. Have you planted plants this Spring? Have you recycled anything as planters? Thank you for reading. I wish you a wonderful day or evening in your neck of the woods.

You are very creative! I can’t wait to go north to plant annuals in my planters and various gardens.

@DianneN That is great. I think you are safer there than where you are now.

@thelme55 At least we will have some fresh vegetables in case of new lockdowns.

That is also good @LadyDuck. Veggies are more important than flowers especially now that the virus is here. I will be doing that next year so I don´t have to buy pots again.

Oh yes very good idea. I do not have dirt in my plant at home as if I do the bugs will fly. So I just keep them in water.

We have some bottles that were used as plant pots as well, specially the big ones.

Haven't planted anything yet but I'm hoping to grow a few things in pots on my deck. I love your creative ideas in recycling

That's a good use for plastic bottles. I try to recycle as much as I can.

I have planted many plants in February and march. I started them from seeds. Looking for the harvest now

Planting from seeds in the tropical weather is fast-growing @anamika161088. I have noticed that when I was in my home in the Philippines. Thanks.

You are great at having things grow and for recycling. No, I'm not a plant person. I had a coleus plant once that grew for me; but that was all.

Are those the planters you've mentioned in one of your post? Nice! Every one should do a little or two of recycling. At least in our own little way we are doing something to help the environment.
