Good News: The Second Wave of RELIEF GOODS!!!

I thought that I was dreaming this afternoon. As I woke up with my quick nap, I found these goods on the table. They are relief goods and ready to make local pancakes in the house. The barangay unit gave them while wearing their face masks. As of today, it was also reported that lockdown will be extended until the 15th of May. Any good news happens in your life today? Is your place still in lockdown?

I also didn't expect that they will give us something again today. I am hoping that they will release the grant under the Special Amelioration Program. Let us cross fingers about this matter. Perhaps the relief goods are on their way to your family's hometown sooner or later.

@Shavkat I do hope they will, Not so sure if this cash assistance will reach them too because they never receive any forms to fill in. That is why they are not expecting on it anymore.

We are still in lockdown here but I do not mind, I bought enough food on the 14th to last for at least another month.

I am glad that you had stored more stocks. As of today, I need to be a ninja with a face mask and that includes my backpack to carry all these raw goods from the public market. The lockdown is extended until the 15th of May.

it quite rare they giving you pancake mix. Usually they would just give rice.

@jvincent_129 I assumed that these barangay officials choose people who can have the real thing.

I agree. It is unusual for them to give this. I also wondered why, too. My mom also asked about it. They just ignore her. That's too bad.

@Shavkat There are things opening up, but, I think those 65 and older are supposed to be lockdown but not sure anymore. Also still need to do social distancing and doing things to forehead to make sure not infected or temperature or symptoms. Sill wearing masks but not all are and still the same with some doing what should be done and others not and still nasty people.

In my country, the government's advisory is not to let the senior citizens and children. Young adults age 20 and above can go out in buying things. However, it is still strictly one member per household.

@Shavkat I am the only one here that can go out and hate it when I do. From what I read here it said 65 and older cannot go out.

Good that you received those relief goods. Our place has lockdown till 3rd of May and further decision will depend on the situation. But the situation is getting better and so we hope that some ease will be provided. They have already lifted some restrictions from 24th April.

Lately, the national government informed us that the lockdown will be extended until the 15th of May. I also noticed that the COVID-19 cases were slowing down lately. I still hope for the cure so that we are not in fear to be inflicted by it.

@Shavkat Yes a cure would be better. We have lockdown till 3 May. Conditions are in control here but still the lockdown maybe extended. It's too early to open things and let infection grow out of control.

In fact, the other places in my country, they got more than these goods. But I think they need more than in my city. But then, I am still grateful to have them.

My mom can only do the old way of doing it. I am glad that you got the 4th wave. Honestly, my family and I are not expecting to have it. The sad part is that I was not able to have the social amelioration program today.

My government wanted to make sure of our safety. I don't have a low opinion of being at home. As for me, it is the best option to be safe and secure against this COVID-19. It means there's no lockdown at your country now, right?

@Shavkat It's not lockdown but we're still only allowed out to shop, go to the doctor, etc. We have to stay within our geographical boundaries.

Japan is really speaking firmly to people to not travel during the Golden Week holiday, which starts tomorrow. Tourist places have shut their parking lots to encourage people to not go out. They are having what they call a "stay-home week" campaign. Every day they have videos to watch on YouTube and suggestions for things to do at home. I hope it works.

I also have high hopes with this idea. I noticed that the COVID-19 cases decreased its population. I do agree that the campaign is all over online and offline at present.

Good to hear that. We have lockdown here but relief is coming too late. Wished it earlier. Also situation is not so good though . We cannot go out for a single day. Only god knows when things will be normal again.

I honestly say that the second batch of relief goods is a bit late. As they sais, "It's better to be late than never.| With the extended lockdown, I personally think my country needs it to control the COVID-19.

I also received a pack of goods today. That was an addition to the earlier released pack of rice. I hope our LGU here would imposed a modified one since they are conducting an evaluation whether to stick to the ECQ or will have a modified one.

@LowRiderX Lately, I heard from the local news that some provinces in my country can work and open the malls. It seems the situation is being controlled in some way. It is not good if people cannot go out to buy food. Unless if the local government will do the reinforcement.

@Shavkat That's the story, I've read about it in several places, they haven't given the exact date here yet, just they'll see, it depends and so on... and we are also under curfew every day, weekends are the worst, then there is no way out and nothing works

I think it is also a good idea to control the local people to stay at home as much as possible. I also have these prayers that COVID-19 will be gone soon and not later.
