Before and after photos of the interior of the coin box

The photos above are the before and after of the interior of the coin case. We wanted to line the case with something. We had some nice blue fabric which we could have stuck to the wood but then there was the problem of how to line the holes.
In the end, we used black tape which is adhesive on one side. The base already had the holes drilled and we stuck the tape over the holes and covered the base. This had to be done before we put the sides of the box on as, being sticky, the tape stuck as soon as it touched anything then would stretch as you tried to lift it off.
Once the tape was in position, Vince cut the material to allow the tape to go down into the holes (top photo).
We then drew coin-size circles onto baking paper, placed this on the tape and cut out circles which were then placed in the bottoms of the holes. The baking paper meant we weren’t trying to cut sticky fabric. (bottom photo). The colour is different because Vince was trying to make the picture clearer.
I’ll add a photo of the coins in the holder to one of the responses. There are five coins representing the Olympic Games and one for the Paralympics.

Is that coin box specifically for the Olympic coins?

@JudyEv nice for a display. I have many coins in my collection but just ordinary old coins.

@Alexandoy We might make a box for a particular coin or a set or whatever. Now we've done one, it won't be difficult to make a box for any specific number of coins.
