Can you see my vegetable seedlings?

Can you see my seedlings? Aren’t they doing well? Haha – trick question.
We’ve been having warnings about quite severe thunderstorms and perhaps hail later today so I’ve covered up each little broccoli and cabbage seedling with an upturned flower-pot. Maybe I’m being over-cautious but I would hate to lose them at this stage. The wire frames are to deter the kangaroos and will hopefully hold the pots in place
My tomato seeds have sprouted but are very delicate so they are indoors but where they get plenty of light. They can go back out tomorrow hopefully.

What about smaller critters that can get in there?

Thankfully we don't have to worry about kangaroos eating our plants. Groundhogs are another story. I'll have to get my husband to till the garden bed soon and place the wire fence up. This time he will need to put the wire into the ground to deter them from easily going under the fence.
I have tomatoes and a few other plants started inside that sit on my dining room table in the sun. Hoping to get something out of them.

@JudyEv I tried to get the hubby to build me some and it hasn't happened yet. There is still time for him to get them done. I guess I'll drag out the materials and start them. Maybe he will get the hint.

@ElusiveButterfly We recycled some old iron but now they are rusting through. They won't last much longer - but then neither will we!!

I hope all your seedlings survive whatever thunderstorms hit in your area, especially if there might be hail.

@JudyEv Is this typical to get strong winds like this at this time of year?

@moffittjc We'd only get strong winds a few times each winter really. We don't get much wind at all here really.

Haha, I was looking at those pots thinking "no, don't see them coz they're covered!" Lol I don't blame you for wanting to protect them, I have my garden going and put a tarp over it every time a storm is coming. Good luck on yours, I hope the roos stay away.

Thanks and they're all okay but I'll leave them another day as there is supposed to be strong winds later.

They should probably be a summer crop. It was warmer when I thought about growing them. Some with the lettuce.

It's all my own work. I want to protect the seedlings from the strong winds.

Yes, a very wise way to protect your seedlings! I hope they'll survive the storm.

I uncovered them for a couple of hours but they are forecasting more bad weather so I've covered them up again.

Probably I can take these off tomorrow. Obviously the pots can't stay on.
