So much easier than logging in.

Normally when I use myLot I would type in my username and password and then untick the `remember me' box. I do this on nearly all the sites that I use because I am worried about security since I have had an issue with somebody hacking my email and password on some other site. However yesterday I was in a hurry and I did not untick the `remember me' box and this morning I got straight into my account. Although I am still in two minds about this I do think it is easier to access myLot in this way because it saves a bit of time. How do you access your accounts online, do you let them remember you or would you rather go through the process of entering email and passwords?

Provided that you are doing this on your own computer on your home network and have an up to date antivirus program, allowing your browser to remember your login details is safe enough. Your browser encrypts the data, which gives an extra level of security,

That is good news because I have just renewed my antivirus.

For myLot I use the "remember me" box, for other sites (like PayPal) I enter my password every time that I access the site.

@LadyDuck It seems to be a big business these days, and the scammers are getting really clever. I keep get false emails from paypal where the scammers are trying to get my details.

I think we have to be a lot more careful when using sites that hold our financial details.

I let them remember me but one day I'll be in trouble as I won't remember what my password is when I need it.

@lazydaizee I've got them written down which I know is a no-no but I can't see anyone finding them or even wanting to.

That is the trouble, if you don't use it, you are likely to forget it. I know I will.

@JudyEv It makes me laugh when they tell us not to write things down because somebody might find out our passwords when there is so much of it going on online anyway. I suppose it makes sense in some cases like not writing your pin number on a credit card.

@mrki444 I once had trouble with hackers , so I am very wary of safety when using the internet nowadays.

Best to keep them all in one place to make it easy.

I do use the remember button. It can be easier at times, although I do forget some passwords when I need them.

I often forget mine too because I use different passwords for different sites and I get muddled up.

Something has changed in my computer or my chrome browser recently. I always tick my remember me box and usually there was no need for me to log in but now a days as soon as I close the browser my log in details goes off despite ticking remember me box.

You are very trusting, but I suppose it is ok if you use secure sites.
