What is on your mind?

I've been thinking about a lot of things, and I thought I'd ask you guys what was on your mind. I, along with a whole lot of others have George Floyd on the brain, and his needless death by the police. I think of the peaceful protestors, and of the out of control violent protestors. They're destroying the property of people in their own community. Then I think of my grandmother, who will have died ago a year this June. I miss her, but at least I know she's in Heaven with my mom. And oddly, I think of how hot is, and how I try not to dread summer because of the heat and humdity. For many mylotters that is their favorite time of year. These thought have nothing to do with each other, but that's what I have on my mind. What's on yours?

I think about the senseless violence and looting around the country; and I think about COVID-19 and I wonder what effect having all these people in crowds is going to do.

Yes, I am one who loves the summer, swimming, boating, water aerobics anyone? So, besides getting my yard back in shape, I am looking forward to playing in the water again.

I would love to get into a pool. I wish I knew someone with one because there is no way I will get into my apartment's pool. Too many kids peeing in it.

I'm grateful through all of the hardships in life lately. Grateful for a new day and new month. Grateful I know Jesus and He saved me. Grateful for my health and my many blessings.

I've been wondering how your family is doing. How is your husband doing, and your sister-in-law 's kids?

@AmbiePam We are doing okay. My sister in laws kids are as ok as possible in a very hard situation. They have family around that love them though which helps.

I post a discussion and said I don't get it why there are riots and violence. Why others can do peaceful protests and some don't. I don't get the looting situations.

I hate the heat and humidity of summer, but like summer when its not terribly hot-does that make sense? I often think about the day that I hear that the hair dressers are able to reopen. My hair is driving me nuts.

We are very sorry for the family of George Floyd. This never should have happened. The looting and violence are very frightening to most and makes no sense. Not worrying about what happens next b/c we really can't fix it. Just hoping someone comes to their senses and determines a way to stop this.

Right now I have food in my mind, I am planning what I need to do in the kitchen. My husband would like a cheesecake and an asparagus quiche for dinner. Of course George Floyd is also in my mind, we need to trust the policemen, but some of them should not wear the uniform.

My mind is on a snack right now. I believe I burned too many calories this morning and don't feel up to par.

Hi Ambie... Like you - George Floyd weighs heavy on my mind. It is so very sad all the way around. Sad that he had to die that way. Sad that all 4 cops aren't charged. Sad that some people are seeing this as a great opportunity to start a war. Then, I think about my dad Then the pandemic and wonder if life will ever be normal Then I think about my friend - and how we seem so distant lately. We used to get together a few times a week. Now I can hardly get her on the phone once a week.

My first thought is how I feel in lockout. I have thought of being in jail Then my thoughts wander. I have written some of them here.

I think it's sad that the protesters have a valid complaint but by destroying property they are only hurting themselves and others who support them. I think they should now go home and think about a safer way to bring attention to their complaint.
