Almost June photo

Bye bye May! Its been an unusual and sometimes deeply troubling May but I will take what is dished out and be glad I got a bite of pie. The photo is not the greatest. I attempt to show my poppies starting to bloom. Such a huge plant. I find its blooms exotic and glorious. Such a feminine pink or is it salmon? Yesterday morning we had a hard rain and wind storm. Supposed to have been a harsher one last night- rumors of tennis ball hail everywhere. No. Did not get that disaster. I thank God for sparing us. Today we continue on with wind gusts. If it does not rain, I will walk out with the hose and deliver water to all my planters. The summer garden is in and tomatoes are blooming. Every one of you: may peace be with you today. If nothing else, turn off the news. My heart aches right now. Probably yours does too. I give you peace anyway cause I'm stubborn and willful and you deserve it.

I'm with you on that, the news is nothing more than redundant BS. My friends will let me know if something new crops up ............. I've noticed that every 5 or so years we get some kind of health scare, like HIV or SARS or West Nile or Zika and who know how many more. It's time the news spread good news for a change.

Agreed. @rebelann Its a great time to focus on the little things. I watched a little orange butterfly pollinating on one my violas the other day. Orange contrasting with cream and purple. That was good enough news for me that day.

@rebelann No bees is terrible. My honeysuckle tree appeared to have bees this year. Thinking..... have I seen bees at the strawberry blooms?? Got to look around more instead of assuming.

I thought it was a rose at first. Love the color! Glad the storm was not too bad. Hoping we all have a better June. The news is off here.

Your poppy blooms are a gorgeous color! I love the ferns, too. We all need peace and thanks and likewise.

I really feel for your countrymen at the moment. It's just awful what is happening there.
