Curfew Time

Well just found out that our city issued a “state of Emergency” curfew for 8:30 pm tonight. That was 30 minutes ago. My son just sent that information to me since he just found out. He is at work right now and will be coming home tonight. When my son sent me the text, I asked him if I should go walk around the town and see how long it takes for the cops to stop me. I guess there were some peaceful protests today in our city. I guess it had to do with the guy killed in Minneapolis. I’m not sure how that has anything to do with our city in Southern Wisconsin, but I guess if your bored at home after 3 months of lock down you got to get out to do something. I just looked up the information online and seen some pictures of the protesters here. I have to wonder sometimes what people must be thinking. Some were wearing masks and other were not and all fairly close to each other, so your willing to risk it to protest. Alright I guess you feel enough passion that you are willing to risk your well being for it. The sings are another thing I often wonder about. The sign so many of them use, “No Justice, No Peace”. First the guy holding the one that say “piece” seriously I can’t take you seriously. But the others are you saying that if the outcome of the justice is not to your liking that there will be no peace or just if there is no justice? I also wonder from the photos why it seemed like only the white people were holding up signs that said “Black Lives Matter” and still I ask shouldn’t it just say lives matter? I mean aren’t all people important to someone and they should therefor matter? I did see one that really confused me. “MLK Isn’t Done”. I mean I know what MLK is, Martin Luther King but then the sign basically mean Martin Luther King isn’t done. I still don’t quite understand. I never noticed that sign before, in any other protest. Well hopefully everyone is stay safe out there. This world is getting crazier by the minute.

It is incredible what a stupid macho policeman has caused, because the real problem is THAT man and all those like him should never wear a uniform.

Yeah, when the country is already on edge from 3 months of being locked in their homes they were ready to burst and now this happens. It is not a good time at all.

I was a great supporter of Dr. Martin Luther King. But There is racism behind every sentence still. I also wonder why they protest saying black lives matter when ALL lives should matter.

@Bensen32 I am shocked by all that is happening now there. As I see it, underlying racism has just come afloat.

@marguicha I'm not really that shocked by it, I had mentioned weeks ago that people would start losing it and it would not be good. Well here we go, they have lost it.

Yeah supposedly there was a protest in my town, but one of my friends on facebook said the protesters weren't from here. It is crazy. I had seen some of the protests on CNN and yeah I wonder about the people not wearing masks and not social distancing.

So the protesters that are being peaceful and not looting the neighborhood I have not problem with. It's the rioters that I have a problem with and the news should be pointing out the difference in the groups.

It happened here too, luckily they abolished the curfew, the city was closed at night, there is no logic at all, it turns out that the virus has working hours (third shift) Riots continued from windows and terraces, so that great noise was made

No this curfew has nothing to do with the Virus. It is cause people are rioting in the streets and destroying businesses and starting fires.
