Bats Anyone?

Good morning /afternoon /evening everyone. I woke up at 2 am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Mylotting is always a great way to spend time when you can't sleep so that is what I am going to do for a while. I'm getting a little frustrated at not losing anymore weight. I think that even though I haven't gone over my calories, except that one night we cheated, I may be eating too many carbs. I really can't exercise that much right now so I don't need that many carbs. I'm going to lower them some and see how it goes. I can't go too low on carbs because it makes me sick. When I was sitting on my balcony last night, I saw some bats flying around. They don't bother me as they are harmless. They will eat any mosquitoes around which is a good thing. In the evening, around dusk, they will come out. We can see them flying over the trees. Have you seen any bats where you live? Over the weekend, my brother got an email from his Regional Manager stating that the sale of his property is back on and it should close within a month. My brother is so excited as this job has been nothing but horrible and stressful since the day he started working there. He will get a "stay on " bonus equal to 3 months pay when the sale is final.

We have a couple of manmade canals for irrigation (built in the 1600s) and when we walk near them in the evening we always see bats. I'm happy if they eat mosquitoes because there sure are a lot of mosquitoes near those canals.

Yes, we have bats here. I've even had them in my home. Not fond of that. I'm sorry you're not losing any more weight. I hope limiting the carbs helps. That's great your brother will have a nice bonus when the sale goes through.

Sometimes I can see bats flying at night; but now, it reminds me of this dreadful virus!

We used to see bats at our old house. Keep on trying with that weight. It's tough; but if you stick with it, you will lose. Congratulations to your brother.

Bats have invaded the gazebo on our terrace. Though they are harmless , I am not fond of them. They are annoying.

I do not see them, but I am reasonably sure they would be here. They do not bother me. I am glad for them eating mosquitoes.

I know that feeling with the scales refusing to yield anything despite your hard work. It is discouraging..maybe add more water,exercise..and yes, of course watch the carbs. I have not seen a bat for years, which is fine by me. I imagine they are around though..we have every other critter in the world here.

Bats are common in some provinces. Certainly not here in the city.

My scales haven’t budged in a few weeks. I know that they will. I’m eating right and exercising, but it is very frustrating. Good luck

I like bats. Try walking in circles. Every little bit of exercise helps

I’ve seen bats here. We live where it’s surrounded by woods. Keep up with the diet. The pounds will drop off slowly.

@simone10 I'm so sorry you're feeling frustrated with not losing any weight. I do wish you all the very best in doing so as it's obviously a goal that means a lot to you! I can't say I've ever seen a bat here in Perth though, I feel like once many many years ago I saw one flying but it was hard to tell as it was dark. The wings just reminded me of a bat but I'm not certain. When I was in Sydney though to visit my Nanny, outside my bedroom window I could hear things flying around and making a certain sound I'd never heard before. And in the morning when I told my Nan, she said they were fruit bats. I was SO happy! Even though I could only hear them and sort of see their silhouettes, I was just happy as I'd never been so close to bats before. I'm so glad your brother is happy about that too!

I installed a bat house just because they eat mosquitoes, they do not hurt humans. I am glad for your brother.

i have not seen bats for so long. I think the key to losing weight is eat meat and veggies no carbs. and eat little. if you want to achieve that eat spicy foods because your tendency is to drink more water thus you feel full
