This is a bougainvillea my friend and I passed as we were taking our walk the other day. There were several, along with some cacti and "victory gardens" on the route we took. It was a lovely day. I called the Advice Nurse this morning. She said what I have sounds like Ebola, and asked if I'd been anywhere where it is common. I said no. She recommended Imodium for the poops and Pedialyte or Gatorade to keep my electrolytes up. Also bananas. I want to Safeway and scored all of the above (Pedilyte--I didn't see any Gatorade), along with some soup and 7-up, for general hydration. I've been well enough to practice guitar and am "relearning" some of my older finger style stuff. I may do a short cycle or lift some weights if I can get my body up to it. How is your day going?

Curious that she thought something like that instead of a gastrointestinal flu. Try to rest, I hope the medications work.

I guess the symptoms were consistent with Ebola. But she probably knew I'd say "no" when she asked if I'd been to the...I forget where...recently.
