But we're cool. And we are supporting a small business! A couple of days ago our heat pump started to have tantrums. Hot out and hot inside. We have overhead fans but that is not doing it near enough. We called a company- see you on Monday! Yipes. Better than not coming out. Then the company called back: had a cancellation. See you this afternoon! Out he came and Good Gravy with Leah dog. She challenged him when he came up the deck steps. Stop that!!! 85 pounds of nasty manners. I yelled at her and made her do time out in the house. So.....it was the fan motor. Not cheap but I am grateful for cool air coming through the vents. And Leah has promised to be a sweeter girl.

@CarolDM Maybe you are right. The man was very tall with huge feet. Leah has not encountered too many men of that dimension.

@Jessicalynnt You're a Missouri person so you know about heat. I agree about cool air being nice. I found it hard to sleep when the air was hot even at night.

@kobesbuddy Leah is one nervous gal. All kinds of noises send her trembling behind my bed- once I shut the dryer door a little hard and off she went to hide.

@sallypup Some dogs are super sensitive to sounds. When Kobe hears a firetruck or an ambulance, he howls, shakes and goes into hiding. That high pitched sound, he can't handle it!
