This song trivia series has been focusing on bad weather....namely "rain." I've had plenty of rain here in New Jersey (USA), going back as far as January, so I thought this song subject would be appropriate. And now that we've come to the final rain songs in our trivia series I'm ready for some sunny weather. But first, let's get "soaked with some rainy tunes" one last time... Here are 2 rain titled songs with opposite viewpoints using the weather as it's symbolism. One tune wants it to rain using the word as a happy sign, the other wants the rain to stop because it represents sadness and the eventual band's breakup . Listen to our bonus video by the Four Seasons which sums up this contradiction with the song "Tell It To The Rain." Well, after watching that video I'm all wet, lol. Hope you enjoyed that classic music from the 60's. Now it's on to our trivia clues. Whodunnit? 1. This song was the last track off this artist's first solo album. The album was recorded after this guitarist's breakup from Blind Faith. The musicians who worked on this LP went on to form Derek and The Dominoes. The song uses the word "rain" as a symbol, as the singer states, "let your love rain down on me." This guitarist whose nickname is "slowhand" has also been a member of The Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Cream. Fun fact: the name slowhand came from his manager at the time. The artist was famous for breaking strings and when he would go backstage to change them the audience would start a slow hand clap until he returned. This artist married Patti Harrison who was previously married to George of The Beatles. The musician declared his love for her with songs like "Layla" and "Bell Bottom Blues." -Do you know this guitar icon and his rain song? 2. This 1967-72 Rock band from California had what could be described as a swamp sound. Although from the West Coast the band played in a Southern rock style, with lyrics about bayous, catfish, the Mississippi River and other popular elements of Southern culture. The line in this mystery song about seeing the rain fall on a sunny day refers to the lead singer's brother leaving the band while they were still successful and how sad it was. Although the group never had a #1 hit (they had 5 reach #2) they became so popular that many referred to their band name by just 3 letters. This group had another rain song mentioned in an earlier quiz which reached #2 on the charts called "Who'll Stop The Rain." -Do you know the name of these "roots rockers" and this rain song? 3. Bonus- In 2005 Broadway produced a successful musical about the Four Seasons. -Do you know the name of this Broadway Musical? Ok, time to come "in out of the rain" and solve these mystery songs and artists. If your stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. Or, as the band Jefferson Starship would say, you can "Count On Me." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I think my next trivia series should be about nice weather. I've had enough rain for awhile, Until next Saturday... Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com Photo- freepik.com2

Eric Clapton and CCR have really made history with their musical style. I prefer CCR but Clapton ain't too bad especially when he was with CREAM.

Very interesting story about Eric Clapton but can't think of the song. CCR or Creedence Clearwater Revival with Have You Ever Seen The Rain. Yes, some times the rain just keeps on coming. I have no idea. Was it called Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter?
