The Thunder Rolls With Rain

Have heard thunder all morning. Clouds. Wind. Hot and humid temperatures. I was so hoping for rain. And now it has arrived.
Love a nice summer time rain shower. Thunder is ok if I am inside. Which I am of course. Brendel is sleeping in the screen room. The Dude is inside in his chair snoozing.
A nice day here. The gardens sure needed a good rain. We should get these showers all week. Works for me. Are you enjoying rain in your world?

It was hot and sunny on my drive home from work, so I thought I would grab a quick bit to eat and then go for a late afternoon run. Got all dressed and ready to go, and then did a quick check of the weather on my smartphone app. Less than 10% chance of rain. Opened up my front door to go outside, and what do you know, it's starts thundering! So I decide to wait a few minutes. Sure enough, it starts down pouring a minute or two later. The storm built up over me out of nowhere! Oh well, guess that was my sign not to go for a run today!

@CarolDM Wow, that's a long time. It looks like this storm that is here now will wind down in about 30 more minutes according to the radar.

@CarolDM I think much of the east coast is having these storms but at least we are getting some rain so I am not going to complain.

It's been thundering here all evening, but the storms are in the eastern part of Louisville (out where Lori lives).

Love Garth Brooks and this song is a favorite.
Good choice for a thundering type of day. We'll probably be getting rain and maybe thunderstorms later this afternoon.
