Since supper was over and I started cleaning up, I have found three lost things. Our friend @JimBo452020 has lost his axe. I did not find that. I found a bowl cozy, we use when we microwave dishes, it is like a hot pad that hugs the bowl and protects your hands. I bought them from @Marsha32. One has been missing since I washed them last. It was in the cupboard with the glasses. I have my own tool box, and it was missing. I was hoping to find a small Philips screw driver for a device I have to cut fabric with. It was under a chair in the office, but did not have the small screw driver I need. The other missing essential was the power cord and foot pedal for my favorite sewing machine. I had mixed up that one with another when rearranging things. They are NOT universal. I plugged in the machine, turned on the air conditioning, and both the cats wanted to join me in that room. Mainly because I had shut the door. Mickey strongly believes his place is between me and the sewing machine. I think he likes the smooth counter top, as well as the air conditioning blowing right there. I am finally making some masks. We have used folded bandanas, and paper surgical masks and N95 masks. We have used home made masks donated to medical offices that you use there and then put in their wash basket as you leave. I want my own. They are not hard to make. I just had to decide on a pattern. Kansas Governor Laura Kelly just mandated that starting next Friday everyone should wear masks in public, indoors or out. She is leaving it up to counties to enforce, but I just want my own. There have been so many patterns online I could not decide. I finally did. I got started on four masks, but Mickey just would not stay out of the way. He goes outside in the early morning though, and then I will be able to sew by myself.

Oh, I am sure. You could just wrap a beautiful scarf around your face if you are not out much.

Look under the sofa/settee/davenport/couch, whatever you call it. One year my sister-in-law got my brother a maul for Christmas and that is where she hid it.

The Governor here has ruled that masks must be worn in all stores and establishments. Hubby shared some basic cloth masks with me that he was given from work. I don't know how much good the cloth cover does but I am doing it though it is very hot to wear.

If we all wear masks it keeps us from sharing our germs with one another. Not 100 % effective. I get tired of wearing them after a while but we now have the same mandate to wear them whenever in public. Do not know what they want to do about swimming pools and the like.

@GardenGerty Swimming pools. I need to be working out in a water aerobics class but have not been doing it for months now for obvious reasons. I wonder if I will ever go back?

I rediscovered my bowl-holder things a few days ago too. They're great for holding a bowl of soup.

We use them a lot, and they get dirty a lot, so I wash them. I must have been tired so I put it up.

Medical establishments have been requiring them all along.Governor now is mandating everywhere. We jumped 585 cases in 24 hours. Of course most of that is near Kansas City, but also Wichita. I will likely have to wear them to work this fall, so I had best get some more made.

I am glad you found a pattern that you like. You will have to now wait until Mickey goes outside.

All sorts of websites had all sorts of patterns and it was tiring to think about even. Mickey goes out early, so I finished two for the appointments and shopping today.

Me too. It fits well. If I thought it was beneficial I could leave an opening to put an extra filer in.
