My Two Uncles Are Crazy

Some of you know that one of my uncles went back to the USA two weeks ago. Now, his younger brother traveled to my country Philippines two days ago. They knew what is going on in this world. They are crazy because coronavirus is still lurking in our environment and they have the guts to take the risk. I do not need to worry about them. In the first place, they do not like me and my family. Are they crazy? Or, is it just me thinking this way? Image Credit:media1.giphy.com

I guess it depends if they are taking it seriously and wearing a mask and social distancing, Then travel is possible.

I do think traveling is possible now. However, there is always a notion of what if. They might acquire or spread the virus along the process.

@Shavkat I agree and if they are not careful it can and will happen.

@BelleStarr It is a sad feeling that this coronavirus created a chaotic situation for all of us. There are still no vaccines available up to this date. If there is, it is a trial and error situation.

I think that in the USA is worse than in your country right now, they escaped to your country.

That's what we are thinking, too. We do not communicate with them anymore. Most of the news about them is just hearsay to some of our cousins. We do not want to be connected since they do not care about my family anymore. I cannot understand why they need to risk their lives.

@LadyDuck I heard that they are investing something here in my country. The odd are they doing it in bad timing.

@Shavkat The hospitals are full in some US states and they are also extremely expensive there. I am sure they think it's more convenient to come back to their country.

They are brave to risk their lives. The US is more dangerous to travel now than to the Philippines. Just my opinion.

I agree. It cannot be denied and statistics do not lie. Unless if the governments are transparent about this matter. For me, they are not thinking.

I agree. I will not think more about it from now on. It is their lives and they need to take responsibility.

I guess they feel like they need to make the trip, although I wouldn't want to.

They shouldn't, my friend. I am not saying that they might be inflicted with this silent killer. What if they spread it to people who are trying to be safer as much as possible.

@m_audrey6788 In my opinion, these travelers across the border can spread the virus.

That does sound irresponsible for sure, I would not worry about them not liking you and your family. I'd say it's their loss. Have a great day...

Thank you. I do think that it is their loss. If my old man still alive, they cannot do this anymore. It is a good decision for us to cut the tie with these evil relatives.

@Shavkat I think it is stupid for one to go back to the States and the other one to come here and good thing they are of no interest to you since you do not like each other.

I cannot control their minds. The only concern that I am having is they might infect my granny aged 102 here in my country. The uncle who went back to the USA dared to visit her. It is always what if that lingers in my mind.

No, it's not. It is purely for pleasure and taking the risk. I really cannot understand the wrong time of traveling.

I wouldn't travel at the moment. I am going to stay in my country this year. It is possible to travel again and some people do it. I don't know if it is crazy, but personally I wouldn't do it.

I'm surprised they are allowed to travel. There is not much you can do about people who don't care about the risks.

If it's useful I think it's okay for them to travel. But if it's just for traveling, they do silly things in my opinion.
