She Is Here and I Tied My Army

Baby was born a little bit before midnight last night. So July first. She looks very much like her mommy. Even only has half a tail. I was not surprised at just one as that is what Salem has had the last couple of years. This kitten is a keeper and will have a witchy name like her mom. As you can see she is a chunk.
I caught 3 rats with my new traps last night. I am now tied with the army of cats at 5 each. That will teach them to gang up on me. The rats just needed a night to get used to something new setting around.
Chores went smooth this morning. Baby ducks are growing very fast.

Salem only had one kitten? Hmmm, interesting.
So between you and your army, you've caught 10 rats. How many more do you think are out there? I'm sure that can't be all of them, but hopefully you're turning the tide on them.

I hope you did get them all. I am still catching but they are at a neighbors house too. And they dont seem to be doing anything. Except complain that the cats are not getting them. The cats wont go into the area because the dogs nip at them and the rats have plenty of places to get away from the dogs.

@wolfgirl569 I place some traps outside, I do not want to take risks, if they are outside sooner or later they come inside.

@LadyDuck Thats where the traps are. In areas I know they are using. Pretty cat got one that thought it wanted in the house. Nothing gets by her. And now her mom Salem is in also. Between the 2 the house will stay free of rodents.

I wasnt sure if Salem had the manx gene when she was a kitten because it feels like their is a double bone in her tail. Thought maybe it got broke before she was born. But then she showed the hop when she ran like they do. So I wanted something like that when I named her. And mom liked the name so kept it.
