I dread more the famine than the pest.

Every day, as I lay in my bed mylotting and knowing that there is little possibility that I will be hungry, I also think of the million people that will not be able to eat a decent dish of food. I watch Luna´s beautiful fur too and realise that my animal companion has never been hungry either. In factm some days I ask myself if I should give her less food. Yet, in other parts of the world, famine will be worse now. Even in my country, with lockdown, there are some people in need. Suddenly I remembered a place where I played years ago. It was called freerice.com and for each right answer they give a grain of rice to the needy. I´ll start again today. See you

This is a serious topic that I guess I have to comment. There were 34 families who lost their livelihood because of the more than 2 months of lockdown. The financial support from the government was too little that they are now deep in debt. They are back to work but with lesser pay due to social distancing. If we would go on another lockdown that will surely aggravate the financial problem of those neighbors.

@Janet357 Freerice.com is not a solution but it is a help. We cannot look the other way.

you are right. the statement of Malacanang is actually surprising: go with the flow. Because the government can't afford to.feed us all.

Same feeling. Finding a job is very hard nowadays. if you have no savings, you will get hungry. In our family, two of my sisters lost their jobs, good thing their husbands have kept their jobs.

Freerice.com is a way of helping people who are now hungry. And it is only a bit of our time each day.

Yup, we should be grateful to what we have now. Sometimes we think like we are not in good condition but there will be people who are living worst than us. Glad you have started the site again

If we all put some grains of rice in a pot, we will be able to feed some children.

I will check that out also. I feel I am a lucky person with enough food, at least for now, so that I will not go hungry.

That site means exactly helping with your grain of rice. It will mean a game and a bit of your time.

I used to go on freerice too but eventually I wondered if it were for real. Maybe I'll start again too - just in case it is.
