The weather service here has issued a warning that we'll have extreme heat for at least another week or so. I'm indoors with the kritters because it's too hot even for me and many of you know I like it hot. I hope the weather peeps are wrong, I'd love to see some rain come our way but in the mean time I have to water even more than usual to keep the trees from drying out. The heat we get is like an oven, no humidity to speak of. I'm not sure which is worse, how about you?

Not enough humidity here but it beats what you get. I'm indoors for a little while then I'll be out under a tree for a little bit. I need the fresh air.

I will @CarolDM lucky for me I'm shielded from the street and neighbors so I won't have to wear a mask.

Run out, fry an egg and run back in with your snack.

Funny you should mention that, mom actually fried up bacon and eggs back when we had these high temps in the 1960s and 70s.

We don't get your kind of humidity but those triple digits are really drying out anything I don't water a lot.

You're right @BelleStarr hurricanes don't come this far inland I'm at least 700 miles from any seashore and at least 2000 miles from the east coast.

The weather in Lake Charles feels like an oven outside as well as inside.

By rebelann1949 @rebelann From what I saw in the picture it looks like you are in for or are getting really hot weather. I like to go out in the morning and enjoy the weather. I am usually inside in the afternoon. Sophie does not like to be on the porch when it is really hot. I am a summer person. We only get rain here in Jerusalem in the winter.

Here the humidity is so high you end up with wet clothes in just five minutes outside. We hit 107 the other day but that included the heat factor. It has been hot but no rain yay. We had a bit too much last week. I still didn't have to water the garden today. I will tomorrow though.

Normally we don't have a heat factor since there's no humidity just the good ole sun shinen down on us.

Not really a fan of humidity, but then not a fan of such high temperatures either! Hope you are able to hide from the heat.

I'm indoors with the kritters where it's maybe 80f which is nice, I wouldn't want it too cold in here either.

@rebelann We are fine with the indoor temperature being around 80, but know many want their AC on 70. It is too cool (and expensive) for us.

I think heat plus humidity is worse. We've had very high humidity with our high temps this past week. Today was the first day we had a breeze to cool things down. I agree. Stay in. Water at night when the sun goes down.

You're absolutely right, that humidity would kill me. I only stay in when it's at it's peak then I'm out under the tree again.

@rebelann I'm sure it would. We're finally in the comfortable range today after a week of high dew points and humidity that felt suffocating.

Sometimes I think I'd rather have a dry heat than the humity which can make it hard to breath when out in it. I prefer autumn and winter over summer

That sounds so sticky and I'll bet it's hard to breath in that. Our's is more like an oven but at least I can breath.

That is a really hot weather forecast. We only have 20 °C today which is better than these last few days which was cold for me.

I do not like cold at all. At least with the heat if it gets too bad I can jump in the shower and let cold water cool me down.
