Did You See What the Lady Across the Street Did?

I saw these two geese as I headed home from my daughter, Ashley's house the other day. They live in a rural setting and several neighbors have ponds stocked with ducks and/or geese. It was kind of funny because I passed two cranes in someone's yard on the way to her house and wished I had stopped and taken a pictures. So when I saw these two, I immediately stopped. They were not people shy and didn't move an inch with my car just 5 feet away from them. These geese reminded me of two gossipy women exchanging their gossip out on the driveway or near the mailbox. They were chattering up a storm. If only we knew what they were saying! Do you ever wonder what animals or birds are saying when you hear them in the wild? © 2020 Karen Gros, All rights reserved.

They do look like they're passing one each other's gossip. Cute picture. What kind of geese are they? We don't have those geese here. We have Canadian geese.

We have a little pond a block over from my office building at work, it's called the Duck Pond (how fitting). It used to be full of ducks, but about 4-5 years ago two geese took up residence there and pretty much ran out al the other ducks. Now the two of them live there by themselves. They are such beautiful birds, but they sure are chatty! It would be really nice to know what they are gossiping about all day.

When I heard the blue jays the other evening, but could not hear them, I did wonder what the ruckus was all about. What they were saying and so forth.

That is a kool photo. Love all those trees and they're so tall .... mine are puny compared to those. I've only seen a few geese but they were all white.

I love that photo. I love watching both ducks and geese. I always wonder what animals are saying and I do know they are communicating in their own way.

Yes, quite often. I'm the magpies here have conventions from time to time. They all seem to gather and chatter away very earnestly.
