Lots of Blooms After the Rain

Was out checking on birds and blooms in the garden earlier. Had thunderstorms most of yesterday.
Lots of Rose of Sharon blooms. The three bushes are loaded down with blooms.
Same bushes the robins gave their best. I was careful when I snapped a few photos.
Sunshine is back and the heat returns. But was happy to see some new blooms.

Beautiful blossom! We had a tiny bit of rain yesterday, but not enough. Had to water this morning. It's about monsoon season here (weird, but Santa Fe has a monsoon season!) and I am looking forward to the thunderstorms. It remains warm, but still the rain is refreshing and saves some watering.
I just planted a few new bushes, as last summer was my first summer here and I needed to find out what was already coming up here. I planted a few new kinds of baby butterfly bushes. Looking forward to watching them grow. I think they're all going to be beautiful. I've seen lots of butterflies in Santa Fe - many more than we were getting in Paradise when I left. So I'm also looking forward to watching the pollinators.
