Hello to everyone! Sorry I haven't posted much lately. I just decided that 6, 8 and even more hours a day was too long to spend here.
I have been quitting when I'm done with the Discussions and Notifications and working on jigsaw puzzles. I decided I needed to do something fun in addition to talking to all of you == Yes! It's a lot of fun to talk to ya'll.
We had a power outage yesterday that kept me in my electric recliner for an hour or so. Fortunately it was a short outage.
Not one to let rude and unprofessional people get away without calling back, I tried to call the two landscapers again today. With one, his mailbox was full. With the other, I left a message that if she didn't want our business, then she should let us know. Voila! She called back and gave us a VERY reasonable estimate to clear out around the house for the painters. She said doing any other landscaping would cost over $3,000. Much better than the $7,000 estimate from the other landscaper. So I called her back and told her to go ahead.
The Leaf Filter people will be coming tomorrow to do the installation. We have to provide sanitary, water and electric facilities for them. Not thrilled about them using our bathroom; but there's nothing we can do about that.
I'm starting a new puzzle today. This one looks even harder. I wish we could swap puzzles when we are done.
Nothing has been done on the other house; and I told hubs today that we shouldn't go on the trip for that reason and also because of the virus and my mobility issues.
What have you been up to?
Stay safe and healthy; and I will be back again on Wednesday.

The kids and I were just talking about wanting to do a big jigsaw puzzle together. It's been a really long time since the three of us worked on one together. Maybe next weekend we'll pick out one to tackle together.

@LindaOHio I don't like doing puzzles unless they are the 1000 piece ones. I love the challenge.

@moffittjc My table that I use is not big enough for a 1,000 piece. The 500-piece fits really nice and I can pull it up to my recliner.

They are fun. I chose 4 500-piece ones. I don't think I'd try a 1,000 piece puzzle.

@SHOHANA I finished the 2nd puzzle; and it was short 4 pieces. I will have to contact the manufacturer when I get all the puzzles done.

I’m glad you finally got an answer. I’m just waiting to hear on my friends surgery, and how she’s doing...

I've been cleaning and waiting for my grades to come out. I have them now so I can do my timetable and then do some more cleaning before I start back on the 27th

Your schools will be open? Most people want to continue with homeschooling here.

@LindaOHio They are resuming some classes as face to face but the attendance to these are non-compulsory unless you enrol in purely face to face. No lectures will be delivered in person though which is understandable in really large courses you can easily have over 100 students in the first lecture.

@Fa_Maverick The students will be missing out on a lot over the next year or two. It's a shame.

3 hours isn't bad. You should be able to do a lot of interacting in that time.

Glad the landscaper is hired. That's a huge relief for you.
I am glad you will postpone your trip. We're not even going back at all this year and cancelled our trip to Japan months ago while we were still in Florida. The writing was on the wall.
Enjoy your day and puzzle.

Wonder why when you complain and maybe even say you will use someone else's services that they show interesting in taking you on as a client?
What kind of puzzles are you doing? Like what are the images? Mine are only Thomas Kinkade ones as that's all I got.
I agree with you that spending 6-8 hours a day here, no matter how much fun you are having, is too much. I'd be too exhausted if I were here for that long a time every day.

@LindaOHio Oh wow! That sounds really interesting but at the same time not that easy to do. Kinda like Thomas Kinkade puzzles. He can have the sky and it's varying shades of a color and you never know right off the bet which place it should go. Sometimes it takes a while trying to figure out where one piece actually goes.

They are the 4 seasons in a little town. They each have a challenge. For example, the fall one has a big field of pumpkins; so there are about 40 pieces of pumpkins that look about the same!

I like puzzles too but I haven't done one in awhile. Maybe next time I go out (whenever that will be I don't know!) I will try to find a new one.

I need to take a page from your book and limit my time online as well. I have sort of been doing that by getting on every few hours but spending some hours doing other things. i just need to do more of the other things.
Oh no, thanks for the heads up about the leaf filter people, I do not like that at all.
Your mentioning the puzzles reminded me that the local media thrift store sells them, or they did at one point. Maybe you could sell yours to a local thrift store? who knows.

It was the painter people and not the Leaf Filter people. I'll just donate the puzzles when I'm done with them.
