I got in a shipment of 20 day lilies the day before we left for Branson at the end of June. I hurried and planted them, two to a pot and was lucky to have enough pots large enough to pot them all. I have two of each kind so that I can share one with my daughter Ashley. I have turned her into a compulsive flower lover along with my granddaughter too!
This is day lily is named Moonlit Caress and is very similar to the Ming Toy day lily I got on Mother's Day. I at first thought the difference was the color of the centers but I do believe they are a different shade of red now that I have seen the Moonlit Caress bloom. The Moonlit Caress is a beautiful dark fuchsia color with a yellow center.
I hope you enjoyed the photo! I am enjoying seeing all the new ones shoot out blooms. I will have to wait until next year to see some of them I am sure.

Such a pretty flower! The one thing I don't like about lilies is the blooms don't last. But for the short amount of time they are in bloom, there are very beautiful.

@moffittjc We will see HOW awake he is when they are all planted!! Funny last night i was browsing Ebay and saw the seller also had a listing for 1,000 bulbs! I'm glad I didn't see that one first!

@kareng He might not be so quick to say "I don't care" in the future when you ask to order more lilies! haha

@amitkokiladitya I have good faith that they will all bloom next year. They are hardy plants and easy to grow. I have 3-4 more of the new ones with blooms now. So exciting!

Oh, wow! This is a lovely flower, too!
It isn't my business, but may I ask where you actually live? I'm curious because I live less than an hour away from Branson.

@kareng Thank you.
I live by Springfield, Missouri. So you weren't all that far from me on your vacation.
