Question For Today- What Do You Consider To Be A Perfect Summer Day?

What's your favorite way to spend a summer day? What activity makes for the ideal day for you? For me it's going to the beach with a good book or magazine on a bright sunny day. With temperatures in the mid 80's and a mild ocean breeze. Looking up occasionally from reading to watch the waves roll in, seeing the surfers catching a ride on a curl, and soaking up the sun. With tanning lotion of course. Ok, your turn...

I'm not sure I can better your idea. I'm not really a beach person but sitting under an umbrella with a good book would be very relaxing

@dgobucks226 That sounds more like me - and looking out into the bush.

We could change that location to a patio or deck raise that umbrella and add a cold drink while chilling out with that book Appreciate the feedback

Any day the air conditioner is working. Warm, or even hot, just not too humid, with lots of cold fresh watermelon to eat!

I'd have to go along with that AC comment too Watermelon and tolerable weather make a "perfect match." Thanks for commenting

A perfect summer day is with a bright blue sky and my memories of my mom who always said when she looked up at the sky that it was as blue as Egyptian skies and she had never been to Egypt. Those are fond memories and I always remember that when the summer sky is a brilliant blue with no clouds around,

A thoughtful memory goes a long way in reminding us of those special people who touched our lives. Very nice sentiment Thanks for sharing

I would love to drive to the coast with my husband (about an hour away), walk on the beach for a bit, have a yummy seafood lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, do a little shopping, then head home.

Oh, that sounds excellent Vicki. And you packed in a full day too. For me, nothing tops off being at the beach than enjoying some seafood afterwards Thanks for your input

I remember the words of an old Italian song that described a perfect summer day "two palms in the blue, the sun shining, a boat floating on the sea..." and me sitting on a long chair sipping a drink and reading a book.

What, you don't swim in the ocean? Sounds like a nice summer day. A nice summer day is in the mid-70s, no more unless there's no humidity. Then it's tolerable. No humidity would be a huge plus and a nice breeze. On those kinds of days, I can go to the park and enjoy the bay.

@dgobucks226 I love to sit out on my porch in the summer and read and enjoy the sun. I like to sit on the porch because if am thirsty or have to go to the bathroom I do not have to search for a bathroom or something to drink, I have then both inside and not far to go.

If I could live in Florida, I would love to live by the water (in the Keys), sit in the shade and just enjoy the myriad of colors in the water.

@dgobucks226 You're welcome. We wanted to buy a house in the Keys; but the Key we wanted to buy on now has median priced homes for $500,000.
