Good morning! I hope everyone is well and having a good day so far. I've been up since around 4:30 am. I would have slept longer but I had to go to the bathroom. Once I am up at that time, I can't go back to sleep.
Yesterday my brother ordered a new recliner for our living room. Wednesday afternoon Daisy had gotten sick in the recliner and no matter what we did, we couldn't get out the smell. It smelled like something soured. I used upholstery cleaner and scrubbed but to no avail. I did it 3 times. The smell was all in the living room. I don't know what Daisy got into but it didn't agree with her. Sometimes she will eat bugs on our balcony so that is what I'm thinking she did but I really don't know for sure. Anyway, we will have a new recliner Wednesday.
Today my brother is going to look for a new car. Well, not really new but one that is only a year or two old. He had a bad experience once with a brand-new car and ever since, he refuses to get a new car. I'm excited for him. His car now has some issues that needs to be repaired and it would be a little costly.
I don't have a lot going on today. Just laundry and working on some jewelry. I'm trying to do our laundry twice a week instead of once a week. It means fewer clothes to wash and it's easier for me. I hope everyone has a great and safe day today!

Sorry about the recliner, i have one in my office, but so far the dogs haven't had an accident in it.

@DocAndersen We tried everything we could think of to keep from having to buy a new one. But that sour smell just wouldn't come out. My new recliner will be arriving Wednesday.

The good thing is the new recliner is a much, much better one and it cost a lot. We are thankful that my brother had his stay bonus and was able to buy a new recliner. He did end up buying a brand-new car, and he is on cloud nine.

@LadyDuck He spent more on the recliner than I thought he should. He had already paid for it by the time I knew about it or I would have tried to talk him out of spending so much. He said he was tired of having to buy new recliners every year or two because they wouldn't hold up to everyday use.

@simone10 I don't understand why it takes so long either. I used to work for a company where we took calls for 1 of the big 3 and it was the American database, and all of the customers used to complain about the time it took. They must have to wait for the results of the credit check, I don't know, but today that should be just seconds to wait.

I'm a little behind on reading this post, but sorry to hear what happened to your recliner. Many a good piece of furniture has been ruined by smells that could not be rid of. I hope Daisy is alright now, and that there won't be a repeat of the incident in the new recliner.

The same applies to me. If I happen to wake up around 4, I'm done for the night and it is quite annoying especially on a weekend
