Our home anniversary

Yesterday was the anniversary of our home - we purchased it 19 years ago. For a little celebration we had spaghetti and pork barbecue. It is like a way of appreciating what we have so the special food. Today there are some leftover and you can guess where it went.

@Alexandoy I can very well relate to. This one is our third home that we purchased in last 20 years of marriage. We purchased the first one in US, sold it when we moved to India and then purchased this one in 2014 renting the last one. I am so thankful that we found a perfect home...locality, scenic views and everything else that we were looking for.

I love how simple your celebration yet it brings so much happiness to you both. Purchasing a home isn’t that easy so congratulations to having purchased that way back and still living in it till this day. May you both have many more years with your wife in the house you made a home in.

@moffittjc my brother in California said that the Coke there is somewhat different. Our "red" Coke here is the classic taste which is the Coke of the olden times. It was also asked by Jim, the handsome Scottish guy that their Coke doesn't taste classic anymore.

@Alexandoy I have a question about that can of Coke. Since you've been to the US before, you might be able to answer this. Does your Filipino Coke taste just like the American Coke? The reason I ask is because I know Coke tastes different around the world, depending on the country and/or culture.

Hey happy anniversary. Our house has not been complete yet due to lack of money but gosh I can’t wait to move to my very owner house. We only need to complete the Roof which is the most important. Living in your own house is awesome. You feel so comfortable. Nobody spying over you. Free to use bathroom as much as you’d like per day. The thoughts itself makes me so happy.

You remind me of my parents' house that we moved when it was still unfinished - only the roof and 1 wall. It was scary to sleep. I was in 2nd grade. It was finished when I was in high school already.

@Alexandoy That’s actually what we plan to do. We plan to leave and move as soon as the roof part gets build. Then later on we’ll plaster the walls when we save enough money. How I wish we would just do the roof part. Cause that’s the main that is left. It must have been hard for you as a kid to stay in your house, wasn’t it?
