We've had a very social weekend

I wasn’t online over the weekend as we had guests. It was quite a busy time. The four of us went to an afternoon concert at the old church in the photo. It was very enjoyable. We practised social distancing which was good. In the evening, we played board games.
Our friends went home this morning and later Vin and I attended two international films. One was from Palestine and one from Iceland. The Icelandic one has recently been re-done (if that’s the word) in our own south-west and should be out in August. We enjoyed them both. Foreign films are often very different to what we’re used to which is a good thing.
Every second row in the theatre was blocked off and we had to keep two empty seats between groups or couples. When we got home, our son in Melbourne rang to say his area is now in lockdown for six weeks.
I have lots of notifications but I’ll get to them all over the next few days.

Thanks. The thing is we might have to continue like this for many more weeks.

That is such a cute little church. Who owns it now, do you know?
Glad you enjoyed both the concert and the films, and that you practiced social distancing inside the building.
I played many board games with my kids this weekend. We had such a great time!

@JudyEv I would love to take that little church and convert it into a home, keeping the design, architecture and theme the same as I renovated it into a home I could live in.

@oahuwriter Australian authorities are big believers in lockdowns to control the spread.

I see. We've had our highest vivid numbers 209 today. Gov. says, today's news he is in favor of not reclosing, but want to find source, and reacting to it.
Dr. Oz reports 6 different covid19! Latest, big triple digit continues, a lockdown is needed. I'm watching news & mylotting.

You indeed had a good time! Movies from different parts of the world sound interesting. What genres were these movies- Drama/Romance/Action?

@JudyEv Are these movies available on YouTube, or are these on Netflix or Amazon Prime?

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, my own weekend on the contrary was more filled with work - I have a deadline on a project Monday morning.

@JudyEv Yes I feel that way to most of the time but then something flairs up and I realize that maybe I am being a little daring.

@JudyEv People were so happy to do "normal things" than now the number of cases is becoming again a worry. The authorities decided yesterday new restrictions, because as soon as people feel free they think that the problem is over and do not pay attention.

Cute little church. This weekend would have been a social weekend for me too, but my eyes were hurting from allergies. My mother, my uncle, and his friend went up to the mountains. My eyes are feeling better now.

@JESSY3236 I have what is called 'dry eyes' but it actually means they weep quite often so it looks like I'm crying. Thankfully they don't hurt.

@DocAndersen We watched your figures with horror but now our two states are experiencing the same sorts of meteoric rise in numbers.

@JudyEv For sure they would be. I guess we won't have that in 2020. Hopefully by 2021.
