Luxuries for my palate this month. Cheeses and salamis

I did not buy groceries during July. I have enough food for me in the pantry and the freezer still had a lot of groceries, specially meat.
So I decided to start a list in August. I got out a piece of paper and a pen and checked around.
There are some things that are not easy to get here. I cannot get yeast so I buy ready made bread. And there is no way to get corn meal so I will not make polenta or anything lkie that.
But the stores have ice cream, bread and nice things that go with bread, veggies and all sorts of cheeses. So, as I don´t need a lot of carbs, I will buy fine cheeses (Camembert, Brie, gruyere) besides the laminated cheese for grilled sandwiches.
I will not buy sweet things though. I bought some cookies and had to give them away.
Do you make a grocery list every month?

@allen0187 The first time I shopped online I forgot the eggs. At the super, I even know where they are so I don´t have to remember any word.

I do a grocery list every week and add what I need. And "cheese" is one item on it every time

@MALUSE I use it for some dishes. I fry mushrooms in butter and my grilled cheese sandwiches always have butter.

We shop once every week or two and always keep a running list. Cheese and salami sounds wonderful. Have a good week.

I used to go to the super every week or two. I waked to the super talking with Leticia. That belongs to the past now. And as they charge for delivery if you shop online it is better to make a bigger list.

@marguicha It's nice that they deliver. There is only one store in our area that delivers; and they don't carry too many items.

@CarolDM I imagine. I invite a lot on normal circumstances and I like to cook nice dishes for them. Now I cook just what is around.

That's good you don't need a lot. The cheese sounds good.
I don't usually buy sweets either. I have a lot in my freezer still. I'll be shopping tomorrow. I don't usually make a list. I know I'll need water, eggs, and bananas, potatoes too. I'll need to look in my freezer to see how much frozen fruit is in there, and I will need to get veggies. That's it that I know of.

That´s what I used to do. Now I cannot go to the super and stay there with enough time to buy.

I used to do that. But now that I buy online, it is too expensive to buy in small quantities.
