A Thankful Day - August 3rd

It was a good day today. I had the first of two cataract surgeries. As promised, I was awake through the whole thing. It wasn't bad. They said the eye would be cloudy at first. As it heals it will clear up.
I don't know if I should wear my glasses or leave them off. I'm not wearing the computer glasses and probably should, but my left eye is still messed up. So, I'm going to leave them off.
I have my followup appointment tomorrow afternoon and the right eye surgery on Thursday morning. Earlier than today, which will be nice. I won't need to wait as long to eat. It's only nothing to eat after midnight. So, not so bad. With my surgery today at 11, I was very hungry when it was done.
The nurse told my son no can do for grocery shopping after it was over. We'll do it tomorrow.
The good news, I can go back to the pool on the 14th, and I don't need to deprive myself of the computer. So, I won't be going through withdrawal, except for swimming.
I got a couple of notifications taken care of. The screen is harsh on my eye, so I'm getting off the computer. I'll be back in the morning.
What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Another picture from my walk on the trail yesterday.

@jobelbojel Thank you. It's doing better this morning. At least the eye isn't dilated anymore. It's 2:30 in the morning here.

pretty picture. I'm thankful that my eyes aren't hurting anymore. They were sore from me rubbing them on Saturday night. My allergies were causing my eyes to itchy. I did take some allergy medicine to help me sleep.

Glad to hear the good news that the first eye went well. The trail reminds of a road we have here in Pensacola where a good stretch before of 12 Avenue is tree lined on both sides of the road providing a lovely ride leaving the East Hill neighborhood. It is protected so no one moving on any of the properties along the road can cut those trees down.

That's good the trees are protected.
Thank you. It's a nice cool trail from the hot sun.
