It was out

Not the power, but the cable and internet was out for about three hours. That's okay though as I spent some of that time writing and some of that time crocheting. The rest was spent reading. Now I can come on here and say Hi.
So, Hi!
What's on the dinner table?
I'm making spaghetti with low carb noodles. Yes, it's using red meat but most veggies. The noodles are called zero noodles and I've been told that they taste similar to regular pasta. We shall see. It's only 5 carbohydrates.
I had a weird dream... but then again, when do I not?
I do not recall all of it but I do know that I realized myself and two other people were dead, and that there was some sort of malignant force terrorizing us. It was kind of a creepy dream, but it wasn't all that scary if that makes sense. I felt more nervous through the dream than anything else. At the end there was a man who was killed (ran over) right outside the property and he saw us and started coming towards us. We tried to stop him but he came anyway and was trapped in that place just as much as we were.
Anyway.. I'm off to do other things. Just thought I'd pop in and say hello.

I am sorry you had no internet for 3 hours, but, you found ways to occupy your mind. That does not sound like a fun dream at all.

It wasn't so bad of a dream. I did not wake up scared, and so to me the dream was not so bad. Having no internet or cable made for a few peaceful hours.

@Hannihar Thank You. I have spent most of the day offline even when the internet was back up. I've enjoyed the quieter day where I can work on writing.

I am glad that it was not so bad not having internet for you for some time. I am glad your dream was not that bad.

My daughter just bought some of those. Do you use them like you would regular pasta or do you prepare them more as a veggie?

@NJChicaa I've thought about buying them, but I'd still have to make another type of noodle for one of the relatives.

@Marilynda1225 I use them where I'd use pasta like with meat sauce or meatballs.

We didn't have power or internet outages but we lost our tv satellite in the middle of the Toronto Maple Leafs playoff game. Thankfully someone had posted a link on Facebook to a blog that was streaming the game live. I missed the two goals anyway as I was making dinner.
Your dreams all seem to be based on some kind of fear and/or insecurity.

I'm glad you were able to stream it through that blog.
Our cable company is also our internet provider, so most of the time if one goes out, the other does too. Not always, but most of the time.
Oh, I wouldn't say that all of them are based off of a fear/insecurity, but some of them are.

A big hello to you today too
I know I was dreaming last night but I don't remember any of them.
My daughter just bought Zoodles which are zucchini noodles but she hasn't tried them yet. Hope you enjoy your zero noodles and that they do taste like real pasta. Let us know

I will definitely let everyone know what I think of them. I hope they are as good as I anticipate because they will become my pasta alternative. A friend and I are trying to find a cheaper ready - made elbow macaroni alternative.

@Marilynda1225 I just made spaghetti and meat sauce with them. They are almost like angel hair pasta. The pasta is very long so you'll want to chop it up after you've rinsed and drained it. I heated mine in a pot to get rid of the excess moisture and then transferred them to the meat sauce. They really don't have much of a flavor when combined with the meat sauce.
I found mine at my local grocer in the vegan cold foods section. Walmart has them too.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I love pasta and would be curious if your zero noodles would be a good alternative

My electric wasn't out, it was just the television company, which we also get our internet from. Yes, I am glad it was only a dream as well. I would not have survived it if it was real.

@thelme55 That is okay. It may have been my use of the word 'power". That is what I was brought up to call it. When the electricity goes out, we say "The power is out, call the power company."

Where did you find the zero noodles? My dream was strange too involving me running a power tool through a garage, and a blue cabin.

Food Lion has them, but so does Walmart. My FL had them for $1.99. They are in produce close to the cold dressings for me.
That does sound like an odd dream. Have any maintenance work going on?

Our temperatures are still hot, but the evenings are getting cooler. I have never had fish and chips, atleast not in the same way that the British do.

@LadyDuck I know we have places that make it British style, but I've not been to any restaurant that does it that way.

That sounds delicious. It's been a very long time since I've had a beef roast.

That is exactly how I felt. The last few hours without internet made me realize how much I rely on it.

Sometimes they are, but I don't believe this dream had anything to do with it.

Yes, I think I needed that uninterrupted time. I also crocheted, and plan to do both crocheting and writing again this evening.

@sophie09 Exactly that. I try not to push myself to do it because then the results are not good.
