How much is ten percent of nothing?

There is to be a national horse endurance ride held in Western Australia in October next year, postponed from 2020 because of the virus. Vince, my husband, is keen to cover the event and so I have now started taking photos at the events too. Don’t tell anyone but he sets my camera up and I just point it at the horses. However, I am learning all the time and am now adjusting shutter speed and aperture buttons all by myself.
It’s important to ‘fill the frame’ with the horse and rider but it’s a fine line between doing that and zooming in too close therefore cutting off heads and/or tails. We have sold a very satisfying number of photos from the last ride and when we checked, exactly half of those sold were mine and half his. I now want an increase of 10% in my pay. However 10% of nothing doesn’t amount to much, does it?
And, for once, the photo is mine.

Haha this shows you're pretty good at photography too and you deserve a pay raise

10% is better than asking for a higher rate, i mean it's pandemic, I'm sure he'll understand. He might bargain though.

I'll probably have to be content with nothing but that's okay. It's just a joke.

Speaking of percentages, I told my boss several days ago that he should appreciate that I give 110% per week at work. That works out to 22% per day! haha

@DocAndersen I'm supposed to be learning how to drive mine but there seems no definitive instructions. Mine was saying 'subject is too bright' so I just kept turning a knob until it didn't say it any more.

@JudyEv it can be really hard to learn photography. I would have been miserable in the days of film. 36 pictures and not one good one.
now I can take 2000 and get 1 or 2 good ones!

Thanks. And yes, I'll still get nothing but that's okay. It is a joke between my husband and I now.
